On the radar: 2012 Draft Class

That video of Andre drummond holy Hanna that dude is good. I haven't seen the likes of a player like that since alonzo morning played high school.

Could Alonzo make steals out on the floor, cross people up, and make spin moves before dunking over everybody?

If you want to see a truly mediocre NBA roster line by line, check out the Charlotte Bobcats now that they gave up Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace. The Bobcats might challenge Toronto for the worst record in the league next year.

Looking at some of these teams, it at least looks like the Jazz have a coherent strategy to bring in players of similar age who complement one another. Some of these teams are a mess.

The Bobcats are a good example of how you can be stuck on the treadmill for a very long time without a superstar. The franchise usually drafts in the mid to late lottery when the game changer they need is already gone. The one chance they did have was in 2006. They had the 3rd pick and Jordan decided Adam Morrison would be a better pro than Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay. They are still feeling the effects of that one.

2011: Kemba Walker (9) Can't see him being much better than their other short PG Augustin, so why?
2010: Traded 1st back in 2008 for....Alexis Ajinca
2009: Gerald Henderson (12) Bust. More of an athlete than basketball player, no NBA 3 point range.
2008: D.J. Augustine (9) Solid pick but Lopez and Mcgee were still on the table.
2007: Brandan Wright (8) Bust. Another athlete with low basketball IQ. No real NBA position due to his light weight.
2006: Adam Morrison (3) Legendary Bust. NBAdraft compared him to Larry Bird, he came up a little short. This one really hurt them.

I wouldn't say getting Augustine as a top 10 pick in a great draft is solid. That's picking one of the smallest players ever drafted in the top ten over Lopez, Batum, and Ibaka, and many others. Horrible.

But in their defense in '06, that was just a bad, bad draft. For the Jazz to come away with two nice players is very impressive.

For those of you who aren't too familiar with Bradley Beal, here's a recap of one of his games. It's about 20mins long, just to warn you, but it gives you a better idea of his talent level than a normal highlight reel would. Enjoy!

Nice video. He handles the ball a lot, like a combo-guard. I'm wondering if he projects to be a combo, or if his coach her just wants the ball in his hands all the time.

Dude looks incredible btw. He even had an NBA-caliber flop at 11:40.

Terrence Jones just got re-measured and is 6'9.25" and 252 lbs (no fat). It will be interesting to see him play on the perimeter more this year and see if he can play the SF purely. This vid suggests he can ... and he will have TWO additional years of dev't from the time of the vid.

I hope he shows that he can dominate at the 3 because he seems to have a great defensive game in addition to his offensive game. Harrison Barnes seems to lack a little on the defensive end. It would be awesome if the Jazz had the opportunity to land one of four top SF picks: Barnes, Gilchrist, Jones (if he looks good at SF), Miller.

Hard to be an elite SF at 252 pounds unless you're LeBron or Carmelo (quickness and mid-range game). Jones is not there yet but he could.

So how did you manage to see Gillie play for four years? He went to school in NJ.

Didn't mean I went to the games. Rather watched every game film I could get my hands on and then, of course, the highlights, scouting, and a little insider stuff. Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like I've watched him, in person, for four years.

What about James McAdoo of UNC? Is he not as good a prospect as Gilchrist, Jones, Miller and Barnes?

If Terrance Jones was that hot of ****, he would've been projected top-5 last year (easily) and would've stayed in the draft.
