Restricted Free Agents to Pursue

Maybe. I haven't watched him enough but looking at advanced stats he's given more space by defenders than just about any shooter in the league.

If Ainge wants that type of player I'd wait to see if Suggs eventually comes available. He's about the same size as Okoro, is also a good defender, and can actually dribble the ball. At some point the Magic need to make a decision on their backcourt. Suggs, Fultz, and Black are not going to fit there long term. Suggs isn't extension eligible until next year though.
On what planet?

Same height sure, but Okoro has mass and a longer wingspan. Who cares if Suggs can dribble if he can't shoot or playmake? Also Suggs is not a free agent this upcoming free agency period.

The Jazz dont need a PG who is a questionable shooter, but a 3&D player who can defend 3-4 positions and plays within himself is nice

5/207M actually... so decent savings over a max (I don't know that he would have gotten that but close if he went to FA and had a good year).
I don't think his numbers should get that much higher to really demand a contract that size If they're healthy, but there could always be young franchises in asset aquisition mode to throw money (Spurs, Blazers, don't know If the Hornets have space, and plenty others, don't know bout Pacers, Wizards, etc).

If they have injuries - which honestly, they very well could, as KAT been pretty much IP, especially since the covid stuff, Rudy's athleticism looks to be on its way down, and both played at the FIBA WC - then his volume on offense could rise even more, in a season where they'll have Conley instead of Russel since the start, not as a midseason course correction.

Josh Green and Cole Anthony just got deals in the 3/40 range.

Cole Anthony's advanced stats were sneaky good last year.

+2 O-Raptor w/ only a -.5 D-Raptor.

.7 OBPM, .5 DBPM

Kind of shocked so many of these dudes are taking deals. Especially Green, he's in a great spot to have a season.
Green would be one that should wait because he fits almost any team and is so young. His market would be really wide so MLE a virtual lock imo unless he got seriously hurt or fell off hard.

I do get it though… it’s life changing money so if you are happy maybe just reluctantly take it. I may have tried to get a PO on a 4th year though.

Minny's salary situation is wild... next year have like 170M committed to 5 players... 3 of which are centers in KAT, Rudy, Naz.

I'm a huge Big O fan. ATL should have traded Capela to HOU and let him start this year.

McDaniels deal is a really solid piece of business for Minny. They will move KAT in the next 12 months or so to balance the books.

I watched a fair amount of Minny last year, but I must be doing it wrong. I just never saw what others seem to see in McDaniels. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I see the potential….but as far as his game right now (or last season at least) I’m right there with ya. Think most are one step ahead on him, but he can change that really quick.

Next time you watch just watch him defend. He gets after it. He's mostly just solid on offense but it comes without the ball... he's developing into the perfect role player.

Now @KqWIN things get dicey for NY and IQ. Curious to see how big the delta was but now its hard for IQ to accept the bench role or reduced playing time in a very crowded backcourt/wing rotation. Now all the money they have handed out to others starts to look a bit cumbersome. If IQ gets the big offer are they matching now? Is that a better trade asset than whatever they could get for him now?

No idea how interested or if we are interested... but it just got a little bit interesting as for NY to retain the "asset" it might mean trading IQ for draft comp or a player under cost control.

They give us a fair trade deal now or we **** them in free agency. This is definitely not a “match everything” situation for NYK. Real risk of losing him. I hate to even say the forbidden L word but the Knicks do not have it here.
