Rising Stars Challenge - 7 PM MST - TNT

Watching Rudy and Schroeder together felt like a good porn film.

Well, I don't swing that way, but to each his own. What would be the title? I could think of a few but would probably get fract'd. But certainly the term "Rising Stars" could be a double entendre.

Rudy and Neto. Gonna happen cause they're buddies. Still sad about Burke over Antetokounmpo. Jazz just need to build up assets again in a few years when he forces his way out of Milwaukee. Gobert set the stage last night. 3-4 years down the road, Utah will be a popular free agent destination simply because people want to play with Gobert.

I've completely forgot about Neto. It's getting to the point where there are so many up and coming players and possibilities it's hard to remember them all off the top of your head.

Bigs: Favors, Gobert, Kanter, Tomic

Wings: Hayward, Burks, Hood

PGs: Burke, Exum and Neto

Didn't even add Ingles, Millsap, Booker or the 2015 1st we will have! Stay focused on individual and team improvement and then set the team up to start winning next year.

Undersized, unathletic, and can't shoot. Super excited about Neto.

He is 6'2", taller than Burke and Stockton, and is the average height for NBA point guards. He has 4% body fat. He is shooting nearly 49% on 2pt shots. For a pg, that is elite. Not to mention, he can (and does) pass the ball.

People need to stop thinking about Neto. He isn't a NBA player.

With the Jazz as is, I don't see Neto ever wanting to play for us I really believe the Jazz will be committed to a Burke X rotation. And if Tomic hasn't made his way to the NBA by now. He just has it too good where he is. Why would he ever come over?

I don't even count on Neto and Tomic as future Jazz players. If one of them came over and excelled, that would be icing on the cake. I think Neto has a better chance. Jazz can bring him in as the 3rd PG over Clark. Maybe he develops enough to backup Exum once Trey is either traded or his contract expires.

Well, we can talk about mine. I'm so upset I had to miss this game. Was in the hospital having kidney stones removed (too big to pass). I have never been in as much pain. And now I'm experiencing "the burn," if you know what I mean. If I EVER want to curse any guy, I'll wish kidney stones on him! Nah, I don't think I could do that to even my worst enemy!

Like I said, though, I'm really upset I missed a dominant performance by Gobert. Wonder if Kanter watched the game.

Man I feel for you. When I had kidney stones I was walking around the hospital bed and pounding my head on the bed to transfer some of the pain, before they gave me the pain killing shot. They say it is the closest a man will ever know what it feels like for a women to have a baby.

Yes, I went through that pain. I won't compare it to childbirth, though. After watching my wife, I don't think ANYTHING compares. But they wouldn't pass and I had to wait 3 weeks for them to then go back and break them up (which is what I had done yesterday). Don't ask...it's a long story. But in the meantime they put in a stent to drain and gave me antibiotics. So it's been a month-long process with anotehr week to go (still have a stent for any residuals). I did get "congratulated" by many of the E.R. doctors and nurses for having one of the biggest stones they've encountered. YEAH!

Stay away from sodas and sugar Man. I'd hate to endure the pain of kidney stones.

How does one get stones so I can avoid this at all costs? Lol. No seriously. How?
"Kidney stones are created when certain substances in urine -- including calcium, oxalate, and sometimes uric acid -- crystallize. These minerals and salts form crystals, which can then join together and form a kidney stone."

It basically comes down to drinking enough water to flush everything out. Not a guarantee, but yes, soda, especially the caffeinated ones, dehydrate the body. I know I haven't been drinking enough water and have been a Diet Coke addict. I've already given up the Diet Coke. Now I'm going to make sure I start drinking a LOT more water. I NEVER want to go through this again. Even stones which eventually pass are very painful.

I'm so excited about Gobert. Let's say he busts his *** this summer, puts on 7-8 pounds of muscle (compared to where he was at the beginning of this season) and becomes the starter earning 32 minutes per game next year. What kind of numbers do we think he'd put up?

I'd guess 12.5/10.1/3.2. Then with a year as starter under his belt, in 16-17, I think he could go for 15/11/4.
I would imagine him averaging a lot higher than 10.1 rebounds. Hell I would imagine him contending for the league leader title right away.

Or was that 10.1 for blocks?

I woke up this morning and watched Gobert's block, stare down at Noel and dunk sequence around 18 times. How freshening to see a player in a Jazz uniform showing that swag and nastiness.
