Most democrats don't hate Trump because of his liberal policies.
They don't like Trump because he is a disgusting human being and his environmental, immigration, and Reagonomics policies.

Not entirely true. For every centrist proposal he has made, there have been 10 insanely right wing ones. Trump's policies have been poop.

Very true. How the right (and in some cases the left) have so successfully con-ed poor people into so much military spending blows my mind.
It improves no ones lives, kills people, stresses you out...
Why not educate all the soldiers (which are just poor, uneducated people) and give them a real future? And maybe some healthcare?

It's great theater isn't it? This isn't exactly a new phenomenon, however. We have to parse things a bit and note that democratic presidents tend to decrease government and the debt while republicans increase debt and the size and scope of government. You would think the opposite if you listened to them. The difference this time is that Joe the Plumber is in on the flip-flopping instead of just politicians.
For me, I'm riding the Trump stock market wave if he's successful in cutting taxes and spending so damn much that we look like a European country in 8 years. Republicans know damn well how to fire up an economy with deficit spending.
I think we can all agree that the state of the union is dope.

Easy for a Canadian to say as they enjoy the comfort and protection of the United States Military. Canada's proximity to the US IS there national defense.
You are welcome. In fact the world should thanking the US for policing the entire world and not letting people like Hitler rule the world.
Freedom is not free. Canadians just think it is.
Who's the US military protecting Canada from? Second, the US government is often an enthusiastic supporter of dictators if it serves what they perceive as their interest.

Agreed. We have the best military in the world and spend the most on it already........ so lets spend billions and billions more on it.
Its like if you own a home with the best most solid roof in the whole world. But your foundation is falling apart, doors are falling off their hinges, furnace doesn't work, pipes are leaking. And you spend more money on your roof.
Kinda nonsensical.
What we should be doing is working with Russia to reduce our nuclear arsenals by 99%. Not spend more on the military. smh.

Too much government money to spread around to his buddies, so he can get his kickbacks. Clinton would have abused the situation somewhat to increase her wealth as well, while for Chump, it's his primary reason for even being President, and no doubt will take it to whole new level.
As for his speech, I'll just say that last night my dog took a crap on the neighbors lawn, and as far as craps go, it was pretty much the greatest crap he's ever taken.

Economic interdependence along with changing norms in the developed world has made war obsolete. The US (with the help of our lapdog across the pond) is the very last developed country that continues to use military force as a normal extension of politics. So the US is protecting Canada from nobody. And you're a sucker for supporting US imperialism, which goes against the interests of the American public.
