I don't think Thriller has ever presented himself as particularly nonpartisan lol.

It’s incredibly obvious that he’s partisan.

I’m just saying it’s highly amusing when he slams people on the other side for being partisan. I like to call him out on it.

The vast majority of people posting on a political thread ARE partisan. Own it. Recognize it. But Thriller just acts like the same people he cries about.

He is the king of it. He’s literally an articulate Dutch of the left.

I see it a little differently. I think he's slamming people for being partisan while pretending not to be. There are plenty of people on this board that fit the bill there.

I also don't think it's fair to compare him to l Dutch. They both come on really strong, and can be abrasive, but Thriller is factual in his discussions. Dutch is a fountain of unmitigated ********.

I have seen multiple times Thriller has posted literal fake news that the media has had to retract, and even when called on it, he doesn’t change anything or acknowledge it.

Just because you often agree with him doesn’t make him factual.

I thought alt right and far right were synonymous, but either way, I'm not.

In the usage I have seen, alt-right is the attempt to restore the white identity or the male identity back to a place of supremacy, and trying to put those positions in the mainstream of right-wing thinking; members of the alt-right may only be mildly conservative. Far right focuses more on economic and religious issues. Lindsey Graham is far right, Jordan Peterson is alt right.

... but I guess One Brow has a point in doing my own research.

As highly as I seem to think of myself sometimes, I fully acknowledge that I am no substitute for doing the research yourself.

How many parties from 35 years ago do you remember attending? Were you at a party on July 11, 1983?
I was. It was a tea party. I raped exactly no one. I think. I did hit the chamomile pretty hard. I like chamomile. I like chamomile. Do you like chamomile? Do you? Na na no no, do you like chamomile, answer the question!

I don’t even remember going to preschool but my mom sure has pictures of me in preschool so it must’ve happened.

1. I really appreciate the divergent views expressed here on jf. I try to diversify my media intake by listening to am radio, hannity, prager, etc as well as NPR. But the time that takes is often overwhelming, so reading your posts has been great. Thanks to all who post.

2. How has sexual harassment become a partisan issue? How has the party that was so outraged by the immorality of Bill Clinton now embraced someone who makes him look like a saint? Why aren't more Republicans outraged at the state of their party? As a "radical moderate" I have voted Republican 9 out of 10 times. I can't see myself doing that in the future. With the President pushing crowds into frenzy in support of BK by demeaning CBF, things have gotten even worse. Republicans will own this stance, perpetrators over victims, for elections to come. They will be seen as being complicit in Trump's divisive agenda. I don't see that as being a winning way forward, to say nothing of morality.

3. It is one thing to reserve judgment, and believe that someone should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is quite another thing to say that we have enough evidence to make that judgement, before all the facts are in. Rushing to judgment works both ways. All those who say BK should be held innocent until proven guilty, should also be willing to look at evidence of his guilt. Refusing calls for investigations, limiting the scope of the investigation when forced to conduct one, and waging smear campaigns from the bully pulpit is hardly persuasive.

It's exactly why I engaged in the first place. I tend to do more research and it sparks my interests to learn more about an issue than if I don't.

The assumptions that are made from my posts are a bit much though. I mean, I know I can be opinionated and annoying sometimes, but to call me alt right, or that I'm not true to myself or I support something I clearly state I don't is a bit much for me.

"Hey, dudes, is this true about Trump or what do you think about it?" - AM

"Burn the witch! He's lazy, not honest with himself, alt right, polarized bipartisan, racist, sexist and a Trump lover." - T, OB

"No, I'm not." - AM

"Yes you are! You posted about it and were too disingenuous to post your true feelings and support." T, OB

This is another example of why I hate bipartisanship. It creates way too much of a - you're either #teamedward or #teamjacob complex.
Insult and intimidation have become a central part of many progressive arguments. It's too bad. I really appreciate guys like Red who can have a conversation about politics without calling into question my intelligence and morality simply because we disagree. I think lots of people with conservative views simply keep their mouths shut (until they step into the voting booth) because they do not enjoy being shamed.
