Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

So are any trades coming soon for the Jazz or not? I don’t believe the Jazz have been stealth-tanking, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they start moving north in the standings during the long home game stretch. Obviously I could be wrong. But whatever the case, it’ll be interesting to see what Danny does during the next thirty-one days (until the trade deadline).
Dude, there is no Santy Clause, Danny Ainge had his fingers crossed when he said he had no intention of tanking. A coach of Hardy's stature doesn't make exactly the same clock management mistakes every frickin close game!

Oh and by the way, we're going in as sellers not buyers, Danny wants more draft certificates for his collection.

bet they don't trade for anyone bad, just for draft picks.Hell I bet they don't even seek draft compensation at all besides swaps if they sell off vets, and if anything only do so if they can get current younger vets, to fill shoes of the old *** ones they shipped, which means outgoing draft picks.

Truthfully, I don’t think the Jazz are in a hurry to trade anybody. Danny don’t deal in junk bonds.

He’s had his eye on Collins for awhile now and in the recent failed deal with Phoenix and Atlanta, he was demanding a first from both parties to make it happen.

Doesn’t mean he absolutely won’t go into his pocket for just the right opportunity though.

Crowder's value just feels like it should be super low to me. He's an older guy who has taken an entire half year off. He's the kind of guy who could fall off at an moment imo, he's that age.

It should be low and likely is really meh... which is part of the reason he has not been traded. I think he is worth a solid second round pick or a couple seconds if the incoming salary is also expiring.

On Grizz forum, they are quite hot to get JC, a bit less with Beasley. But they really think JC will be perfect addition to make them a NBA winning team.

It just makes too much sense to get Danny Green plus a first for Clarkson or Beasley.

The GS pick they own is actually kinda nice. Top 4 protected next year - top 2 protected in 25 and unprotected the following year.

I know its GS and they are most likely going to be good... but Dray a FA, Steph/Dray/Klay all kinda old, the check for the title years is coming due with a mega tax, and Steph misses time every year it seems... outside shot of them falling off a bit next year. Steph gets hurt and they fall off a cliff obvi.

My post wasn't a reply to your post. But anyway, regarding tanking, if Hardy wanted to do it, wouldn't you expect he is better at it? These games have been too close. ... I didn't say anything about we being sellers or buyer, but sure, after all these losses, it now looks like we're going in as sellers. What will Danny do with JC is the most interesting question to me. He said again in a recent interview that he likes JC. But what else is he gonna say? If there's a deal he likes, JC is gone before the trade deadline.

We should be playing the suns and griz off each other. Both teams could really use Clarkson. The suns 1st rd pick definitely has more value but the griz can offer their own first and the future warriors pick. Both teams when healthy are firmly in that championship conversation in my opinion so Clarkson could very well be that final piece.

It is a strange pick. I wouldn't be shocked to see it be 30 or 13.

Exactly, I want it. That’s what I suggested in the Trade Machine thread.

Good points all, and yeah sorry if my tone was edgy, I’m a little disappointed after the way the Memphis game ended, once again. I almost started a thread to vent actually. I mean I don’t know what your feed was but the Memphis broadcast team was like there’s forty seconds, a five point game and one to go for the penalty why the hell aren’t they fouling somebody? It’s really gotten so damn conspicuous lately!

But yeah keeping it close is part of a good tank. Silver issued a proclamation regarding tanking and nobody wants to put out less than 100% even in a loss. The other parts are keeping the players and fans in the dark, I mean as much as possible. So far, so good and they’re still filling seats at Vivint.

The buy sell thing was just to provide another indication that we’re throwing in the towel on this season. Soft tank to miss the playoffs but still keep fans in the seats IMO.

Personally, I can’t wait till next season when we don’t have a lottery pick to protect, but with our luck Markkanen probably does his military commitment.

Listened to The Athletic podcast and they said Beasley should be one of the top trade targets for any team
It makes sense in part because the value, contract, skill set line up where he is worth a real first round pick and should be gettable. Like it matches.

JC is worth a bit more than a first, Vando on his own maybe not quite a real first, KO more likely worth some seconds.

Not sure JC is worth a first given he's a half year rental.
