Utah beat Montana State by 17 points, what exactly do you consider a blowout? Beating someone by 3 scores and leading by at least 3 scores from start to finish is a blowout in my book.
But I said if Jordan Wynn finds his game anyway. If Jordan Wynn still sucks Utah probably won't blow them out.
The point is, Utah looked great everywhere except at QB. And we know Wynn can play, he just has to find his game. USC, on the other hand, was pretty bad in all facets of the game except QB and 1 receiver. They have way more problems that need to be fixed than Utah.
If neither team fixes any problems, Utah probably wins but doesn't blow them out. If Utah fixes their one problem, and USC doesn't fix anything, Utah blows them out. If USC fixes all of their problems and Utah doesn't fix anything (the least likely scenario) then USC probably wins but not a blowout. If Utah fixes their one problem and USC fixes some of their problems but not all of them (the most likely scenario) then depending on what problems USC actually fixes, Utah wins, probably wins comfortably and possibly a blowout.
I love watching the Utes lose, really I do.
For some reason I can't delete the attached thumbnail... Oh well, I tried.
I don't think you'll find too many Utes fans who disagree with any of that. Wynn is horrible, and the Utes still almost won the game despite his horrible play.If the Utes had a half decent QB running the show, they beat SC last night. Wynn makes bad decisions, has no arm, a horrible motion, can't get a ball over the defensive line to save his life, took a few horrible sacks last night, can't throw on the run....
I am a Utes fan and I hate saying it, but it's all true....
Utah couldn't even blow out Montana State, you think they could blow out USC? Right. ER, I mean, be careful, you might want to get called a Ute Homer Tard or something like that.If Little Brother had a QB that could throw the rock, they would have beaten USC by at least 2 touchdowns. Utah's WRs were open all night and could have made big plays. Instead, most of the time Wynn would miss them with his awkward sidearm fly ball. And when he did hit them, the WRs had to wait so long for the ball to drop that the big play opportunity was lost.

Swing and a miss...
Serious questions...
Has there been a worse QB than Wynn in recent Utah Football history?
Why is Utah so bad at the QB spot? have the coaches focused too much on defense and speedy WRs and have neglected the QB position?
If by focusing you mean recruiting then that may be true. There's really no way (IMO) that you are going to coach and develop Wynn into a Pac12 QB. His ceiling is too low.
I know I may sound like a broken record and I agree with most everything said about Wynn (especially his scared/panic scrambles) but c'mon how bad was the O-Line? They didn't do very good on pass protections and even worse on running plays, now don't get me wrong USC had a lot to do with that but still if the U had there usually good line it would cover a lot of Wynn's issues right now, well IMO.
.
Wynn is horrible. I don't know if he is still injured or if he just sucks. Either way, whoever said he looked good and is playing like a 1st round pick is smoking some pretty potent stuff. Your observations on Wynn's play seem dead on to me.Just had a great conversation with a co worker who is a HUGE Utah fan. I for one am a Michigan Fan 1st but root for both BYU and Utah pretty equally.
I mentioned to him that Wynn looks horrible so far, has no arm, throws off his back foot, and once he gets a little pressure is flustered like an 11 year old Pee Wee football player.
His response "Wynn looked good and he 'almost' lead them to a victory over USC at USC. He looked just as good as Barkley and people are saying he is a 1st round draft pick."
I told him to step away from the Kool Aid and Red Colored glasses and see Wynn for what he is... Maybe a JC Quarterback (So far this year).
So my question to you all... is he as big of a homer as I know he is or am I blind to watching football and Wynn to be able to see that he is a crappy QB? I never have been big on the kid and even went on to say that burning a redshirt and getting experience for their other QB may be worth it if things don't turn around in the new few weeks.
