So a game from a few weeks ago is no more relevant than a game 27 years ago?

I guarantee you, a game 27 years ago has no impact on what bowl game BYU or Utah goes to this season. A game from a few weeks ago will absolutely be a factor.

Nice try Stradivarius, but it was a national championship. Not a 3rd place consolation game. Even if you argue that they shared the championship that's better than number 3.

I guess I should call you 3rd string Stradivarius.

I would say arguing that they shared the championship would make it about the same as being #2, which is what the Utes finished in 2008 after finishing undefeated and winning a BCS bowl (modern era stuff).

I guess BYU fans/trolls either can't read or can't count, but Utah finished #2 in 2008.
 
Any sport that relies on polls instead of an actual tournament to determine the championship is a fraud IMO.

There hasn't ever been a true NC in college football. I'm sorry folks, but college football is a joke.

Had the NBA been organized the way NCAA has always been, then the Heat, Bulls, or Lakers would have held the trophy. Carlos Boozer would have been giddy as a school girl holding that trophy up.

Teams like the Grizz and Mavs would have never sniffed success.

If the NFL were organized the way the NCAA has always been, Dallas would be in a dynasty and Romo would be in the HOF while a certain former backup QB from Michigan would have never been heard of or given a chance to win championships.

No argument against that post.

I would add that the Jazz would have won a ring or 2, and the Patriots would have won the championship a few years ago instead of the Giants.

There are three college football champions that won it on the field every year, four if you count NAIA.
 
Salty, please stop embarrassing yourself All off-season you ranted on and on about the Utes and how they have a good chance to win their half of the conference. They already have three freakin' PAC-12 losses.

Not that I really care (cause I thought they would as well) but weren't the Noles getting high praise not just by the talking heads but by you as well, so hows that working out for them?

Well since our teams are a bit disappointing so far this season I'll raise a glass of Cap'n&Coke for you this weekend. Not that I drink but my teams and the lock out are driving me to drink, well that and I joined a bowling league and I suck worse then my teams are playing.
 
Personally, I think the trolling should be allowed to continue becuase like I said, it's the best free entertainment EVER! Anybody who doesn't like that is welcome to meet me at a gym of his or her choosing so we can throw fists. That's right. This message board banter is serious enough that it is worth punching it out down at the Lady Fitness in Sandy as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be the guy in the sky blue unitard holding a can of 100% pure whoop *** for anybody brave enough to show.
