If Charlotte decides they like Knueppel, they could trade back with Washington, while the Wizards swoop in to take Tre Johnson at 4. Jazz would be left with VJ. It's not the most likely scenario, but could happen.

Because vertical is the easiest test to cheat on and performance in these tests likely comes down to who trains for them and who doesn’t. They have very little to do with an actual basketball game.

SHOCKER: I want VJ most after working through this question a little more and where we’re at as a franchise.
We need to build a culture around defense and hustle. We need a cornerstone to start that build with. We need to start all the way over and VJ is the piece to start with.
If we prioritize those attributes, we will be organically bad for a few years, but we won’t have to retrofit culture into the mix.

Potentially Embiid if he continues to be constantly injured.
Jazz do need to be wary of Washington trading up to 4 with Charlotte and taking the guy we want. All it takes is for Charlotte to decide they want Kon or Maluach. Washington beat us to the punch with Coulibaly. Better to have a deal with Charlotte on the table as a contingency.
Ace is likely the best defender of the trio

Ace plays defense like he learned about defense the day before the game. He's not opposed to the concept, but he has very little idea of how to do it.
He probably could eventually end up being like MPJ on defense, but it's going take many years if it ever happens.
VJ doesn't play as hard as you'd like, but VJ is a billion times smarter than Ace and knows what to do on every defensive possession.
I wouldnt characterize VJ as a high IQ defender. He's an athletic defender.
I'll take the 6'9 athlete over the 6'5 athlete.

Nah, I think VJ is very smart and aware, he just is weirdly low motor.
Ace's feel for the game is pretty tragic.
The "Ace is just MPJ" thing is the funniest **** to me cuz an athletic MPJ with no injury history is an incredibly good player.

Ace is nowhere close to where MPJ was athletically in HS, Ace REALLY struggles to get separation and has nowhere close to MPJ's release point in HS.
He's pretty similar to post back surgeries MPJ.

He gets absolutely nowhere on any of his isos, he's just not very coordinated.
At some point, Ace defenders need to explain why he just wasn't good at Rutgers. If you have two stars, you tend to actually win basketball games... But Ace wasn't a star at all.
