He gets absolutely nowhere on any of his isos. At some point, Ace defenders need to explain why he just wasn't good at Rutgers. He's just not very coordinated.

If you have two stars, you tend to actually win basketball games... But Ace wasn't a star at all.
His issues with separation have nothing to do with his athleticism.

Ace's separation issues have more to do with his willingness to hunt tough shots, core strength, and just inexperience. The tools are there. He's extremely athletic.

Would you say its more of a ball handling issue or a mindset issue or something else?
I would say mostly core strength and overall decision making (I guess mindset). He got better at the decision making as the year went on.

I dont think he has to be a separation king to be a great player. He just has to make better choices on the shots he does take.

Ace plays defense like he learned about defense the day before the game. He's not opposed to the concept, but he has very little idea of how to do it.

He probably could eventually end up being like MPJ on defense, but it's going take many years if it ever happens.

VJ doesn't play as hard as you'd like, but VJ is a billion times smarter than Ace and knows what to do on every defensive possession.
A billion times smarter? Is it possible that you are exaggerating?

What issues with separation are we talking about here with Ace? If we’re talking about the separation required to get his shot off…he has no issues with that. It’s incredibly easy for him. The problem is that his shot is a mid range shot.

If we’re talking about attacking the rim, that’s a whole different story.

Perhaps you underestimate the vast expanse of basketball intelligence that is needed for Sir Airious Bailey to rival that of Sir Valdez Edgecombe Jr. The numerical amount of billion, perchance, is an accurate reflection of reality. Verily, I say.
You Sir, are an astute adjudicator of Basketball epistemology. I raise a glass of ale in your honor.

If he could go to the rim consistently he has Tatum potential and is automatically a #2 pick.

Also you need to be able to get to the line in the NBA to become an All Star, that’s his biggest question mark for me right now.
