This really put Trump's statements about assassination in perspective. I understand he has no shame when it comes to his own words and that he says whatever the hell he wants. I glossed over this in my thinking more than I should have.

Here is the New York Times report on Trump's past taxes:

The New York Times obtained Trump's 1995 taxes. He reported a loss of just under $1 billion. And he may not have paid any taxes at all for the next 20 years:

Yet, he has no problem tweet-shaming others over taxes:

How petty of you. Every liberal candidate over the last 50 years has been guilty of exact this. Hillary is the queen of tax dodging. Can we keep thinks on an level players field?

"Petty" of me?!?! The media and public have been asking him to release tax returns for months. You think it's just me asking?? Lol. Keep it level?! Clinton released hers. Level is Trump releasing his. Have your morning coffee before posting such lame comments.
So your answer is no we can not keep any semblance of perspective. Trump shames tax dodgers an cheats on his. Liberals never ever ever do that cause the fish guy needs links an links .

Please continue backpeddling an changing you original attack on a politician tweet-shaming as you called it.
You really think somethink so well knowed about liberals needs me to research for myself? Stop being silly. Liberal politicians do pretty much nothing but tax shame while being guilty of using tax code for same advantages like any reasonable people would.
Watching a Trump rally, and listening to his stream of consciousness rants, and the crowd's response, it's not hard to see the personality cult aspect to his candidacy. I imagine every campaign has followers that are buying into a personality cult, but with Trump what surprises me is how such a degree of crudeness and ignorance and low brow boorishness could ever get this far as a personality people would gravitate to in the first place. A 4th rate intellect, if that, it's as if we're gonna put one of the Three Stooges in the Oval Office. But there will be no yuk, yuk, yuk under this stooge.
His delivery is so often like that of a wise guy punk, with the facial expressions that only add to that impression. The man is an ignoramus, like no other in my lifetime to run for the Presidency.
I guess if a mass democracy can make it possible for such a crude buffoon to actually pull it off, then maybe it will actually be better when AI imposes a dictatorship of robots. I don't think I'm joking. Listening to the crowd respond to Trump, it's the crowd, not Trump, that really concerns me. People really are that stupid. Pretty damn elitist of me, but really, people need to be protected from themselves if they think things are so bad it's OK to make Donald Trump President.
I think if he is elected, he'll make these rallies a staple of his term. Won't be able to live without them. Him and his followers. Maybe he really is just building a cult. If every candidate for President has followers that can easily fall into the role of personality cult members, maybe Trump is actually creating a personality cult Presidency. More cult leader then elected official. More infallible leader then one of the people. Chief Peacock, not Chief Executive.
He really does seem to take every little slight personally, doesn't he? We could be seeing a pretty sick puppy get elected President here methinks. I hope it happens in an alternate universe.
When the situation was manageable it was neglected, and now that it is thoroughly out of hand we apply too late the remedies which then might have effected a cure. There is nothing new in the story. It is as old as the sibylline books. It falls into that long, dismal catalogue of the fruitlessness of experience and the confirmed unteachability of mankind. Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong–these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history.”
