Sign Hayward, Trade for Millsap

Sorry for the slight hyperbole. Regardless, he stinks in the playoffs and is old as fugg and paying a guy that much at that age is dumb.
The stinking in the playoffs narrative is idiotic. He is the best player for Atlanta. In the playoffs, other teams focus on him first and make the other guys beat you. And they can't. Look how easy Durant's life got at GS. Playing with better teammates makes life easier.

Millsap is an amazing player. We would be lucky to have him. I would say we have the best Jazz team of all time if we got him. Position for position. No Stock or Malone, but incredible balance.

I don't want to jinx it but Favors to Atl makes a lot of sense for Favors and Atl. I love the idea of milsap return, and it makes sense because Joe Jesus cannot go through an entire season playing major minutes at pf. It would leave the roster missing a backup Center unless the jazz are prepared to make Bolomby and Bradley the back up center and primary back up pf against big matchup.

I feel like Lindsey has more up his sleeve, I can't wait.

A huge factor no one seems to be talking about with the 4 position for the Jazz is that Joe Johnson needs to be put in mothballs until the playoffs. If Diaw is gone (he's definitely getting traded or cut, and if he's cut, I doubt he re-signs), Favors is still slow, and Joe is playing in the high teens/low 20's... who the **** is playing?

The Jazz definitely are acting like they have numerous contingies laid out for the position that we've yet to see (if the draft is any indication, which it is to me).

I'd be comfortable with Bolomboy. I doubt they are. Worst case is we bring in someone who sucks but "has experience" to give minutes to. Either we get a good 4 or Bolomboy FTW. The in between options suck.

If Hayward stays (c'mon buddy), trade Favors, Diaw, and Neto for Millsap ($25).

Why for Atlanta - Millsap is an unrestricted free agent. Getting anything for him is a positive. Favors went to Ga Tech and would provide a little buzz to sell tickets as they rebuild.

Why for Utah - I can't think of a better, realistic fit next to Gobert and Hayward. Millsap has a comprehensive game. If not for Giannis having more 1st team votes, Millsap would have been in a NBA defensive team yet again this year. With Rubio, we need a PF who can spread the floor. We just gave $13 to Ingles who is 30 soon. Its obvious we are making a go at this thing now. Millsap is 32, but he has a ton of quality time left the way he plays. Lets go get the best PF we can to round out the roster.

I think we are a contender if we bring back Hayward and add Millsap. We might need injury help or a miracle, but it could happen with these guys.

Shocking you think they are a contender adding Millsap. Gsw OKC spurs are all better . Also the rockets are better. Anyway Mansap wants to play and live in Denver. Lol at you thinking they would be a contender.. You have such a low bball iq it's funny because my 11 year old knows more then you already

If Jazz really don't see a future contract w/ Favors, I would move him give an offer to JaMychal Green

Other teams are adding players and jazz losing players and you think your still a foshos playoffnteam?haha... Gobert is nice but he is defensive so he not winning games with offense and good offense will beat good defense in the long run.Hayward as a number one option will never have a team as a contender! He is better off being a third option on a legit contending team. Hayward is not then type of star who can carry a team on his back and gobert doesn't have the offense to carry a team but keep living in fantasy land jazz fans and enjoy being able to "trash talk" the Lakers because after next season Lakers will be contending and will pass the jazz... Hilarious y'all think yournlegitncontenders when you needed 7 games to beat a team without it's bestbplayer. Jazz were lucky to win a single playoff series and some here think they are contendders. Question of any of you watch ball outsidenofnthejazz

He sucks not even starter quality.lmao

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can we just waive Burks to clear up space if nobody is willing to take on his contract?

It's guaranteed money (as most NBA contracts are) so we pay him and he counts against the cap regardless.

What $$figure can the jazz stomach & will that be enough to pry him away from Memphis?

Good point. They'd probably match nearly anything.

Jazz could throw about $15 mil/year. I think we may still be able to keep Exum and Hood, even by giving Green that number, next offseason considering money looks to be tight league wide.

How's JaMychal Green's defense? He shoots a good percentage from deep of limited but not insignificant attempts and he rebounds at a respectable rate relative to other "floor spreaders."

I really like his defense but that's one guys opinion. It sounds blasphemous but he sometimes reminds me of Draymond Green.

We only have the $8 million MLE to offer.
