It's almost like he's not interested in honest dialogue and gets his rocks off by the reactions he gets from his ****posting and general trollery. It's befuddling to me that he has lasted as long as he has on this site. It's a f***ing joke, really.

I expected his last ban to be longer than a week. He was banned just a short time before that.
I'm disappointed in Jason for letting this go. But whatever, I've committed to ignoring Dutch. I urge everyone to not respond. I know that's not likely, but whatever, Jazzfanz is officially okay with what Dutch does here.

And I'm done. I felt like I was reporting trolling, personal attacks, racism and inappropriate content for the greater good of Jazzfanz. I'm not sure how many posts of his I reported, but it was a lot and I feel that each one was valid. For that, a poster who has been banned multiple times gets a one-week suspension, so that they can't post racism, personal attacks, trolls and otherwise inappropriate content for a week? Why does Jazzfanz want to give multiple chances to a poster who's shown that's what they offer? Why does Jazfanz want to allow a person with no respect for forum rules and standards (let alone basic standards of decency) participate?

It's not new. There have been professors fighting against this for a long time now. The left has become a bastion of group think where any and every dissenter is attacked while the snowflakes, who refuse to be adults, are catered to with special rules and laws that affect the curriculum professors discuss. It's essentially become an anti-free speech environment and professors are responding by changing curriculum out of worry of backlash from the media, lawsuits, and being fired.
But they have been fighting back.

It is a long time in the making but only for the past decade maybe has it become the mainstream. Go back to when I was in college and this would have been a fringe group, now it is grief counselors for all as a matter of course.

Yeah, I'm not sure why you guys that are bugged by Dutch so much don't put him on ignore. I live that feature. I also don't get why people I put on ignore constantly follow my posts. Like, you hate my posts so much you can't help but read them and dislike them.

I agree with you when it comes to the ignore feature, but that doesn't stop him from completely derailing threads by others engaging him, which is the larger issue with trolls.
No, I'm done reporting his behavior. Jason asked me to ignore him. I'll do my best. If I can't participate and ignore him then I'll ignore him by not participating. Jazzfanz is endorsing what he's doing at this point. They are making a mockery of their own standards in how they handle him. This is #notmyforum so I've put in my input and now it's out of my hands.
And btw, when I first started reporting him I left a note in my report to the mods to just tell me if I was wasting my time and I'd stop reporting. I was not told I was wasting my time, but I clearly was. Would have appreciated just being told that.

I agree with that. Plus, his level of trolling is more than a bit much.
You weren't wasting your time. You may not have gotten he result that you wanted but that does not mean nothing was done or that nothing was talked about.

Which posts are getting Dutch suspended?
I enjoy conversations with him sometimes and some others that are trolls. But for the sake of others I am trying to stop engaging with them, so its less frustrating for others.
The real question is how far to go with ignoring people like that? There are obviously troll accounts like Boris but there are also people like Franklin that are trolling with a lot of their posts and threads. Or the Archies that claim they are just trolling sometimes with they get in too far. What about people like me that often troll some of the trolls? Or fans from other teams that may or may not be real but just come here to talk trash and troll?

My "troll" posts are more just to go against the grain. I push them as far as they get pushed. It's still discussion though.
I try to make any "trolling" obvious and light and friendly. Most of the trolling I get accused of is a lack of understanding or perspective by the accuser.
Oh, and I used to troll the trolls too but that ran its course and got boring.
Fair enough, I still get entertained conversing with you, but maybe one day ill get bored with it.
I dont mind it, I understand that is what you do. Obviously it bugs a bunch of people based on discussions the last couple days. I like some of the points you make.
I dont mind conversing with anyone on here. I dont think I dislike anyone on here. There is no one on here I wouldn't grab a beer with. A couple people have done some things over the top on this board that have crossed lines but usually they have apologized for it.
