Man if we stand pat Jazzfanz will melt. I can see a scenario where there isn’t anything good enough for Favs and Hood now and we end up just buying out JJ and going status quo.
I still think something gets done but I was overly optimistic we’d get this deal done.
Sad face.
Things I've been saying for weeks:
1. The tank is a mirage.
2. It's quite possible the only move we make is buying out JJ.
From all accounts Favors is unlikely to re-sign with the Jazz. So if the trade deadline gets here and the FO feels like they are getting under bid for his services they should still take it. Something is better than nothing. As long as what is offered isn't prohibitive to the long term goal. Like only offers of a long term salary dump for Favors for example.
But Hood and Favors both have value.
That's terribleHow about this:
Jazz trade Rodney Hood, Ekpe Udoh, and Jonas Jerebko
Cleveland trades Channing Frye, Jae Crowder
In addition, the Jazz get the right to Swap Picks for the better of the Brooklyn/Jazz pick.
They aren't going to make a trade just to make one. If it doesn't help why do it.Jazz better do something. I am gonna be pissed if nothing happens. trade players who will leave after this season.

Because holding on to Hood and Favors is a lose-lose situation. Either they walk for nothing or you give them too much money to keep them and kill your future flexibility. You take the best deals you get for them.
Then we might as well trade Hood and Favors and Jerebko for Noah. Hey!! At least we are getting something back, right!! Idiot

Read my post. I said you that you take the best offer available. I highly ****ing doubt that Joakim Noah is the best offer on the table. Stop being ridiculous.
