Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Anyone have him mocked in the top 40? I could see a Kuzma like draft board rise.
I doubt he comes out this year.

Just look at his stats progression. Its very close to Kuz's first two years, but he is younger cuz he didn't redshirt like Kuz did.

Very similarly sized. Similar athletically, but I think he is a bit more explosive/powerful and Kuz is more nimble. Play styles are similar. Both overlooked cuz they play for schools no one really cares about.

His 3-pt percentage is higher than Kyle's and the stroke looks really good. DL go make him a promise in the second round and show him how you turned an alcoholic electrician into a demi-god (referring to the great Joe Ingles).

I feel a potential NBA lotto conspiracy coming. NBA hates tanking, so they rig the lotto and have one of the 13-14th place teams win the lotto to see... look tanking doesn't work.

So even if we don't make the playoffs we winning the lotto.

I'm not convinced Jontay Porter is a top-20 pick yet, but he looks like he could be a legit stretch big who can play some minutes at the 5. His mobility isn't great, but it should be enough to guard in space without getting killed. His rebounds are okay for a big that plays away from the rim. He should be able to improve his athleticism. He's got a compact lefty stroke on his jumper that looks consistent. He's shooting around 35% from 3pt right now with a 77% FT%.

Seems like he'd replace a lot of what Trey Lyles was supposed to give us.

See if Cleveland's Brooklyn pick lands in the top 3. It will either entice Lebron to stay, make a good trade asset, or help the Cavs survive if they lose him.

Jontay Porter continues to grow on me. He shows great decision making and passing, plus nice effort and awareness on defense. I think the Jazz are going to like him.

Very interested to see how Zhaire Smith measures out.

6'5½" in shoes with a 6'9" wingspan. I saw Tankathon put him in the lottery, not that they know what their doing, I just use that to check the tank race, tried to give y'all a warning a few months back about him as the most underrated 4-star that slipped under my nose.

Jazz are definitely going to like him. Not gonna be in range in the 2nd rd tho, no way.

Some one please explain why Trevon Bluiett is not talked about more. I havent had a chance to watch any Xavier games but looking at stats he seems like a solid early second round pick.

6'5" good height for a 2 guard
43.4% from 3 on 7 attempts per game
84% from the FT line
45% from the field
19 ppg as a senior
He has increased in most statistical fields every year

I am guess he is a poor defender
He only has average athletiscim
Low steals .7 per game
only 2.7 assists
He will be 24 just after the season starts (November 4, 1994 (age 23))

This is actually a damn good post. This speaks to the quality of the field, thats really what you should deduce from this.. He is low upside, thats why.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk much better prospect.

After watching that video I'm 1000% in on the guy... checked the stats. Think he could be a great stretch 4. Seems to move really well and plays BIG at the rim. 3 blocks per 30 minutes. He needs more minutes. His game logs seem to be trending up.

Check out his offensive and defensive rating on the link above... 123.4 ORTG, 65% TS%. Doesn't take enough threes but it looks like butter. Good passing especially for a big.

The surface volume numbers look pedestrian, but doing a per 40 and deep dive I'm surprised I've never heard of the kid. Just turned 20 so it ain't like he's an old sophomore or something.

Great find.

Yep. He's one of the sleepers in the big10

I am interested to see if or how the Jazz pick is influenced by Phoenix this draft season.

Phoenix has a roster full of young prospects, they have 12 players under contract for next season without counting FA's Alex Len or Elfrid Payton.
And Phoenix currently holds the 3, 15, 16, 33, 58 picks in the draft. I can't believe agents or prospects are lining up to go there.

If the Jazz squeeze into the playoffs they will be right there with the 15-16 picks. Meanwhile the Bottom 8 teams are separated by a game or less, so we could see something like Phoenix drafting 8 or 9 and jazz 12-14. I love the potential draft drama.
