Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Besides that he plays a position of little value in the modern NBA, he plays the same position as the team's franchise player who has 0 range.

Furthermore, his "highlights" are ****ing dreck.

I'm pumping the brakes here because the Jazz obviously have an elite front office but that whole thing was a whiiiiiffffff. Trading assets to move up to grab a guy that is destined for G-League greatness, *fart sound*.

You have absolutely no idea what he'll end up being. He is barely 20 years old. You probably would have written off 20 year old Clint Capella as well his first year, who averaged 2 ppg with a 40% TS. Now he'll be staring at a max. Players can develop radically from the 19-24 range.

I will bet you $50 he doesn't do anything of significance in a Jazz uniform.

Centers are disposable unless they are elite. I hope he develops, but I don't see the skill or physical attributes that elevates him to that status.

I think and hope that you're wrong. There are a ton of guys I'd rather have than Frazier.

I was listening to Locke's recent podcast and he said that Melvin Frazier plays defense like Rudy in that he can do multiple actions or occupy multiple guys on one possession. That's elite level defense. I think the Jazz go with that.

Yeah u gotta be on high alert when frazier's lurking, he's masterful at getting / causing / anticipating deflections and well equipped for the task.

Okogie much better shooter than Melton. Bigger, longer, stronger.

I'm having a hard time getting past the fact that Okogie is longer, faster, more explosive and defensively probably more versatile than Troy Brown. Plus he played on the ball more than Brown, can pass off the dribble, shot the ball better than Brown, and is only one year older. His steals, blocks and free-throw rate are pretty elite and speak to his in-game athleticism.

Give this guy two years to develop the right way, and he could be somewhere between an Oladipo and Jaylen Brown. I have to admit it's bugging me.

I personally would love the Jazz to draft an odd *** player every year. I like the idea of bringing in a Melvin Frazier because he hustles, an Olynyk because he can shoot, a Dejounte Murray because hes fast. I want our team to be the strangest, most potent concoction of weird talents compiled in the nba. I think it would be cool as ****.

There's a report that Robert Williams has been asked about his similarities to Clint Capela in almost all of his workouts LOL.

I think you will like De'Anthony Melton, he fits this description.

Man the Suns are dumb. So is he going to sign an extension. I hope so because if he doesn't then the Suns organization are officially the worse organization in the league.

I still have the gut feeling that the Jazz really like Frazier and are keeping it hush hush. I remember hearing early in the process that the Jazz really liked him. Then the talk about him got quiet for a while. Then Locke and T Jones started talking about him and have been consistently positive about his game. When he came in for his workout there wasn't much attention put on it by Jazz reporters or personnel. Last night he was conveniently absent from Perrin's tv breakdown of the prospects in our range (just like DM and Bradley last year). I have had this gut feeling for a week or two and it's still there.
