Kendall Marshall - Our next PG Hope

Welll with his rise there is a good chance the Jazz take him. ESPN has only the Jazz taking him pretty much lol.

Just because ESPN likes Lilliard doesn't mean KOC will. The Jazz usually are off from what the media says they'll pick....I think

Oh sure there is always that chance. But one would have to assume that if one position that you really need to address is PG and there is one available at your draft position that he would get at least decent consideration.

Not saying take hi or dont just that if he is available when the Jazz's number comes up it is a real posiblity that they take him.

Weber State #1 in their conference plays the #2 team Montana Mountainmen on Tuesday. Should be an epic game.

Watch yourself...it's the Grizzlies and they're from a hippy town. I hate them. Don't make them seem manly by calling them mountainmen.

/Rant nobody cares about over.

I think the only question is: is Lillard a true enough point for KOC's liking? His long range shooting is on par with Jimmer's, with the volume to guarantee it is no fluke. His assist numbers per minute are the same as Jimmer, but he does have a better A/T ratio.

He's also got better handles and is much more athletic. Lillard's ability to get to the rim is just as good as his ability to shoot.

Is there a way to change the name of the thread??

I've actually just realised Lillard's a much more rounded PG than either Marshall & Rivers. I'm just tired of having one-dimensional players on our team:

Watson - can't shoot
Bell - can't drive
Harris - can't shoot
etc, etc,

Seems to me Lillard had a good foundation in all aspects of the game and can really help our team. I like his scoring in particular to improve our crunch time scoring.

Seriously...Team Marshall would probably rather have Lillard than Rivers, and Team Rivers would probably rather have Lillard than Marshall. Let's all just be happy that a third, more balanced PG prospect has emerged.

I watched a little bit of Machado today on ESPNU during the Rookie/Sophomore game. Saw nothing to be impressed by.

Not me. Rivers has clutch and heart to him. If we're going to draft an SG at the PG spot, we might as well go with Rivers. I don't see much PG in Lilliard unless he's gotten better since his Freshman year.

I'm Marshall, Rivers, Lilliard.

I can almost say with 100% confidence that he has gotten better since his freshman year.

He can hit FT's, unlike Rivers.
Better shooter than Rivers.
Better passer than Rivers (more assist and less turnovers)

Everything else is a toss-up and too hard to tell because they don't play the same people. (Rivers has an average PER of 17, Lillard's is off the charts at 35).

You're judging Lillard on his Freshman season? His scoring has been going up while his TO rate has been dropping. Not to mention his assist numbers are becoming more consistent. He's a PG in his Junior season.

Out of the three, I choose Lillard.
