I think that gaining experience in these playoffs is a good thing, but i wouldn't go so far as to say that if we missed the playoffs this year then hayward and favors futures would somehow suck. I saw intensity by both players and alot of learning/development during regular season games this year.
In todays game i saw hayward and favors playing great early and then getting schooled later and i saw them hanging there heads a bit, hayward not being able to hit anything from the field, favors not going after loose balls.
Sure this playoff experience could help them to learn.... it could also hurt thier confidence if the series never becomes close.
I still think the jazz can win a game or two and make the spurs earn the rest of thier games and then i believe the playoffs will have been worth it.
Todays game however i dont think was that great for thier development, and if they loose every game by double digits and get swept then i dont think they will have gained much and they will have given up a possible piece of thier future in the process.
Also i saw alot of develpment throughout the season from all our young guys, and that was without summer league and a shortened training camp/pre-season.... in other words you can develop during regular season, not just playoffs.
