What's new

A Mitt Romney and Condoleeza Rice ticket?

Well that's one way to make sure you'll never get assassinated - choose a black lesbian as your running mate.

Realclear just changed AZ from "toss up" to "leans Romney". The Rasmussen poll has Romney up by 13% in AZ.

Is this a reaction to the Obama Immigration decisions:

1. Not deporting the young illegal immigrants

2. Suspending Federal and State cooperation on immigration in AZ in response to the Supreme Courts Decision?

There's no real evidence Rice is a lesbian, from what I can tell, as much as I would enjoy that prospect.

She owns a home and lines of credit with another single woman in her 50's that's never been married. Her best male friend is gay and no one can find a man that she has had any type of intimate relationship with since the mid 1970's.

The gay man also used to be a part owner of that home, until he sold his share. The line of credit is tied to the house, for home repairs. Apparently no one has seen Rice engage in any activity that is remotely non-platonic with this woman.

This is evidence of a deep friendship. It is not evidence of a sexual relationship.

ROMNEY NARROWS VP CHOICES; CONDI EMERGES AS FRONTRUNNER
Thu Jul 12 2012 19:30:01 ET

**Exclusive**

Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.

And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

MORE

It was Condi who received two standing ovations at Romney's Utah retreat a few weeks ago, and everyone left with her name on their lips.

Rice made an extended argument for American leadership in the world.

In recent days, she emailed supporters:

"2012 is perhaps a turning point for the United States."

"The upcoming elections loom as one of the most important in my lifetime," she warned. "I'm very often asked to speak about our current foreign policy and the challenges that lie before us. However, we, as a country, are not going to be able to address any of those international challenges unless we first get our domestic house in order."

Would be a bad choice IMO. I don't have much against Rice per se, and she seems like a very intelligent competent woman (policy differences aside), but it sure reminds me of the Bush the 2nd Administration.

Rubio seems like the obvious choice (young, Hispanic, seems like he's popular in a critical state).

LOL....

Condi would basically seal the election for Obama IMO... As Democrats will hammer that Romney/Rice will be just another Bush Regime.

You have a rich white guy touting tax cuts for the rich, pushing for deregulation, threatening war against Iran, and wants to privatize everything.... Then if you tact on Rice.... You have a Bush III (as if the first two wasn't enough suck).

Democrats and their media are gonna have field day with this.
