Burks started off poorly with two charges and that looked like it hurt his rhythm. I will chalk it up to as a bad game, he will do better the rest of the League.
OK guys, I'm quiting the Jazz fanhood and leaving the board. Kanter is a bust. I can't post anymore with this embarrassing kid playing like this. Feel free to use my username.
That was sarcasm man, I know for sure Kanter has a big potential but now, this season, his time on the floor will be very important for him to show something to all of us. He has to prove himself. It's really on his own hands now.
Yowzasss, Kanter line is a mess. I know the no need to get worried guys are not worried. Im a bit worried, will wait to see if he gets better before I pass judgement.
When did you play NBA paced games? They are a tad different than playing pickup basketball.
Yes on the "bust" part. That was sarcasm. But when the GM states those guys are going to be featured - and they were - but got dominated by scrubs, then I do think KOC and Corbin HAVE to take a step back and not count on those guys to have major roles. It's one thing to have a bad game here and there in the NBA. It's entirely different to look like just another undrafted rookie in the summer league. You think?
With due respect, Burks clearly showed last season that he can play in this league and potentially play at a high level. We have enough data points on him that I don't think his play in one game in summer league is sufficient to outweigh what we saw last season. (By comparison, does anyone here really think that Kyle Singler's NBA ceiling is higher than Burks', notwithstanding how Singler played compared to Burks in this game?)
The one I'm concerned about is Kanter. I do not want to put too much into this one lousy summer league game, BUT Kanter's play continues to demonstrate what, to me at least, are two of his biggest weakness that were consistently on display last season: (1) absence of go-to move in the low post and (2) inability to finish at the rim. Geez, does anyone get more shots rejected than Kanter?
My bold prediction:
KOC made two phone calls from the stands:
1) To J. Howard's agent offering him a contract
2) To Paul's uncle, begging him to negotiate an extension
Kanter and Burks looked absolutely turrible. Burks still drives and can't finish. Kanter still has hands of stone and is good for a few rebounds and hard fouls, but no offense. It's premature, but it sure looks like the Jazz may have blown those two lottery picks.
Funny thing is that Washington is a historically terrible 3pt shooter, but went 3/3 today. Players have good games and bad games sometmes. Burks and Kanter just had bad games.
Kanter does not have big potential whatsoever, except rebounding. That was sarcasm man, I know for sure Kanter has a big potential but now, this season, his time on the floor will be very important for him to show something to all of us. He has to prove himself. It's really on his own hands now.
