Kirelenko in Trade talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, because Diaw and Dwade are exactly the same! This gotta be the least witty jab I've ever read.

I'm not the one comparing Diaw and Dwade. My point is people would find something wrong in getting Dwade. This is Jazzfanz after all.

I'm not saying we'd have a ton of flexibility. But we'd have some. If we get Diaw, we have none and probably would end up trying to trade him or Millsap just to be able to (re-)sign guys to fill out the roster.

Please qualify my emphasis. Jazz have $58 million under contract next year. There is no room to sign anything other than maybe one MLE and a bunch of league minimum.

Please explain how us not wanting to trade Kirilenko for a fat, washed up Diaw means that we would not want to trade him for Dwyane Wade. Thanks.

Please show me where I said we shoud trade Ak for a fat washed up french guy? Thanks. I'll be waiting.

Edit: Damnit Shaggy.

I never, ever thought I would ever have an occasion to say this, but let's give the man his due: THANK YOU, MELO! Am so glad he doesn't want to play for the Nets and the Nuggets get no value for him next summer, which means they will be worse in the long run.

What's wrong with bringing in Diaw for a trial year? If he doesn't work out we can deal him, if he fits with the team we keep him for 1 more year.
Um, it's not a given that you can deal a fat, overpaid tweener forward (or maybe point forward).

Trades don't grow on trees. And it wouldn't likely help much financially because in most cases, you have to get the same value in return. (The AK deal is an exception because you have a one or two highly motivated teams involved and a punk Cry-ing diva player. Also, the Jazz would be giving up a relatively legit starter for a French pastry.)

If the Jazz wanted to trade AK for salary relief, they could have this summer to the Suns.
We would have received a couple players on expiring contracts and just cut them or flipped them.

I don't know how long our praise of the punk will last, because I wouldn't be surprised if the Nugheads put together something between now and the trade deadline to get something in return. And if that happens, Utah might not need to be involved, FBOFW.

That's probably why the Nuggets are purportedly holding off; they might prefer some combination of Randolph, Gallinari, and picks over Ivan and Fat Favors.

I was actually surprised Melo was so adamant about leaving Denver, but was willing to go to by far the worst team in the League. And not just that, but that team is also losing Harris and draft picks. Sure, Melo is an upgrade over Harris, but this was the worst team in the League, which did not really improve this summer at all. Seems like a poor decision on Melo's part, and looks like he now recognized it. What I don't get though is why Denver likes Nets offer so much more than the one from NY, who is offering Gallinari and Randolph. Gallinari seems like a far better prospect than Favors. He is just 22, and already had 15 and 5 year last year. Randolph got nearly 12 and 7 in just 23 mins last year, plus a couple of blocks to boot, and he is just 21. That seems much better than Favors plus a year loan of fading AK47.

He wants to score 40 PPG?

Just think about it. Why not wait until Feb to make a better deal for AK????? Simple cause by then you might still get under the LT and get the rebates and the money savings but they will have already paid AK half of his salary. Purelly financial trade.

This also proves Melo doesn't really care about basketball or winning.

He wants to be a big baller in NYC, and be a celeb. Basketball is a distant second.

Even though this trade appears to be dying fast, this is a ****** way to come into training camp.

Hopefully AK isn't phased by this, or if he is, it's a motivating factor.

Throwing around some trade ideas around

Jazz get: Anderson Varejao & Anthony Parker
Nuggets get: AK & Noah
Bulls get: Melo & Birdman
Cavs get: Luol Deng

I know Bulls said they wouldn't trade Noah for Melo but adding in Birdman I would think would help since they would still have a presence next to Boozer on defense.

It saves a lot of money still but gives us more talent.

D-Will - Watson - Price
Bell - Parker - Thompson
Miles - Hayward - Evans
Millsap - Varejao - Elson
Jefferson - Varejao - Elson - Okur

After trade team offers Fesenko a 2 Million a year deal and we let him go.

OR

Jazz get: Kirk Hinrich
Nuggets get: AK & Noah
Bulls get: Melo & Birdman
Wizards get: Luol Deng

Save as much as the Diaw trade.

D-Will - Hinrich - Watson
Bell - Hinrich - Thompson
Miles - Hayward - Evans
Millsap - Elson
Jefferson - Fesenko - Okur

Meh... to both trades..

Trade 1:
- Don't think Noah and AK are enough for Denver (don't think Noah has enough upside compared to Favors)
- Why would Cavs want Deng? They already have Jamison..

Trade 2:
- Again, don't think Noah and AK are enough for Denver (don't think Noah has enough upside compared to Favors)

Note: would be happy with either Varejao or Hinrich though..

It doesn't matter if Favors has more upside than Noah. If Melo won't sign an extension with New Jersey than Nuggets don't have much of an option.

Jamison is a PF. Deng is a SF. Shouldn't go into the decision process. Plays a different position. And they can't move Jamison to SF. Hasn't played there in 5 years or so. Too slow to guard SF's.

You mean this is all the Jazz had to do to get AK motivated. I agree if the deal does not go down perhaps AK will feel "funny" but I would hope that AK was already to get to work before this happened.

Don't know Melo personally but indications are that he's more inclined to go back to the New York area... don't think he's ever been interested in signing an extension with Chicago?

Jamison - my bad - haven't been following the Wizards for the past 5 years... LOL
