Following potential 2013 draftees

For sure.

There are a handful of guys I like around our picks.

Its true that its a terrible draft if you're drafting top 10, but I think the draft is average to above average where we are picking.

Agreed. I think this is a good draft to be in the #14 - #21 range.

Oh wow.

You know I'm usually 100% against the tall white guy pick, but there's two in this draft I really wouldn't mind, Olynyk and Withey... though Withey would be with the 21st pick of course.

I think the trick is this draft is going to be playing it cool and getting the value picks.

Good PGs are drafted all the time in the 20s... Rondo, Nelson, Tony Parker, Vasquez, Jarret Jack, Nate Robinson, Lowry, George Hill, Maynor, even Reggie Jackson and Norris Cole if you want to generous. Bledsoe and Teague were 18 and 19 also. It happens alot!

Edit: What's with the no spaces between paragraphs? is it just this computer I'm on?

Agreed re PGs picked in the 20s, which I think is due to the fact that GMs would rather pick a big in the teens to play backups rather than picking a backup PG so early on. Looking at previous draft I see Hansbrough being picked before Ty Lawson, Collison, Maynor, for example. I guess teams are thinking, if we're gonna risk a pick, at least give me someone with size that I can stick under the basket and rebound.

However, because we already have Kanter & Favors who are so young, I'm pretty sure the FO will sign a vet 3rd big to back them up, or play Favors & vet, Kanter coming off the bench with big minutes. Evans will be 4th big, and Marv. 5th big.

If they decide to do that, then I think Olynyk is out of the question at #14. Also if the FO is confident in their assessment of Schroeder or MCW, I think they're brave enough to take him that early (remember the Hayward pick?).

The fact that Schroeder might be gone by #21 would also play a role.

I like Olynyk as a back-up big, but I'm also warming up to Steven Adams just due to his raw physical talent and athleticism. It means the size, athleticism and post presence doesn't diminish when either Kanter or Favors takes a breather.

A Schroeder/Adams first round would be excellent. Then see if we can get Jean-Charles, Adonis Thomas or James Southerland in the 2nd round.

Anybody have any thoughts on Adetokunbo? That's who I want with our 2nd pick. Also, do we have 2 second rounders, or just 1? I thought we got Chicago's from the Boozer S&T.

Kunbo is playing against second tier greek players. People say he might not even make the D League right now.

I think the Boozer deal was only for a trade exception? We just have one second rounder.

"Jazz spokesman Jonathan Rinehart said Utah sent him along with a future protected second-round pick to the Bulls for a trade exception."

Jazz paid the Bulls a 2nd to make the Sign & Trade rather than just sign Boozer outright.

I was considering if the jazz could trade down a little. say a team fell in love with olynyk maybe move down a few spots and still get who we want and pick up future picks or another second

we should just trade everything to the bobcats to get another first next year, and play the young guys this season. That way, we get two top ten picks, and draft Parker and Harrison.

Many. Most like him and understand he'd take a number of years to develop (if he ever does) and would do much of that overseas.

Klay Thompson & Steph Curry are making Porter and CJ McShooter's draft stock shoot higher and higher.

MCW's agent is probably sweating.

Porter is nothing like Thompson or Curry.

Thompson is making Karasev's stock rise if anything.
