This is EXACTLY the player we wanted when we buzzing about him. I love the way he moves around.
He does seem like a pure PG compared to Burke. Trey is a warrior, and I'm not sure Dennis is, but time will tell.
Those highlights are exactly what you want to see if you like the kid. Sure he's going to have rough games, but only
idiots will deny the talent beneath the developing 19 year old there.
The only reason I can think of that might have deterred the Jazz from drafting Schroeder has to be his shooting. May be they're afraid he'll turn into Rondo 2.0? Of all the attributes that Rondo brings, as fantastic as he is as a fighter and as an athlete and as a passer, he still cannot knock down those 3 pointers with any consistency. Especially with how invested we'll be with Favors and Kanter operating down low, we cannot afford a PG who cannot hit the 3pt shot to help spread the floor.
Schroeder showed that again in last night's game that he couldn't buy a 3 pointer even if his life was depended on it.
The Jazz was interested in Kelly Olynyk and Cody Zeller, this tells me they value "shooting" quite a bit.
