Also how did Baelish knows that Joffrey was gonna pick on Tyrion, making him the cupbearer therefore making him the main suspect - hence Sansa can run away with him?
Baelish couldn't possibly have set that up....

I'm honestly pretty credulous when it comes to TV shows. If I hadn't read the books I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have noticed any of this.
Actually Vikings has much bigger battles the GOT. Had a pretty big one last night.

OH ****!!! Is it the Queen's mother's doing??!!! She spoke to Sansa and touched the necklace, and the poisoned cup was right in front of her!!!!!! Why would she kill Joffrey?????? Is it because the Queen will rule until Joffrey's brother come of age to rule??!!! I'm so confused, can someone explain to me what would be her motivation without Spoliers???!!!!

You can check out the second link I gave in the spoiler tag, it does a good job of contextualizing the assassination within past events in the show. For instance, recall that Littlefinger was the one sent to treat with Renly shortly before he was killed. After that, he convinced the Tyrells to join with the Lannisters. It stands to reason that from then on Littlefinger and Olenna Tyrell became co-plotting BFFs -- they're both cunning characters who are only faithful to their allies as long as they're getting everything they want. But eventually the situation changed. Robb was killed, and so Sansa became more valuable as the key to legitimizing rule in the north. Meanwhile, it was becoming increasingly apparent to Olenna that Joffrey was insane. So, Littlefinger wanted to Sansa for himself, and Olenna wanted her granddaughter to be in power, but wasn't willing to let her possibly be harmed by psychopathic Joffrey. So Littlefinger and Olenna arranged the hit between them. Neither had to worry too much about betrayal because it's in their mutual interest to stay silent. The Tyrells are still sitting pretty in their alliance in King's Landing (and presumably Margaery will marry Tommen, who will be infinite more tractable to her persuasion -- Tywin won't be the only one whispering in his ear), while Littlefinger gets the daughter of the woman he had a lifelong obsession about, and a key pawn for a power grab.
EDIT: I should add that the Tyrion frame was ideal for both parties, as well. If Tyrion gets killed, then Sansa is no longer married, which helps Littlefinger. Meanwhile, it's one less Lannister for the Tyrells to backstab on their way to the throne.

yes thats why they show that.
cg standing slave is easy.
but a cg battle with all those "ex-skave" vs the city army takes a larger budget.
or it will look crappy and "lower" the quality of the show
Quick question for you - does it make it less exciting for you knowing what was going to happen? Because for me it was a very big surprise seeing Joffrey die just drinking from that cup.

Well, yes and no. On the one hand, I've never really been bothered by spoilers; a good show is good regardless of whether you know what's going to happen. I mean, I re-watch a lot of stuff, all the surprise is obviously gone there. I lose the surprise, but the anticipation can be sweet.
I think the negative comes in when something gets changed from the books for the worse. Then I get annoyed. In those cases ignorance would be bliss. But thankfully that hasn't actually happened that often.
Books are almost always better.
