If you cannot seriously see the potential Exum has over Burke in the long run then I don't know what to say.
- Exum has elite length at the PG position.
- Exum is already a better defender there.
- Exum looks to pass first whereas Burke looks to score (and doing so appallingly as he cannot get to the FT line even if his life was depended on it).
- Exum is quicker - so if nothing's on, with the ball already in his hand, he can just attack the basket (which he did numerous times, ending up with him going to the FT most every time)
- Exum has a much better court vision as a PG that is vital.
Sure, Exum wasn't great shooting in the SL, but his passing & attacking the basket more than made up for it. Also his shot isn't broken like Rubio, so I have complete faith that the coaching staff will work with him.
I don't hate my BMW (Burke), we if there is a race and I have a much faster Porsche 911 out back (Exum) why not use it????
