Joe Ingles is bad

I think Ingles has been a positive surprise for the Jazz. nothing spectacular but a good bench player .

We have no reason to think Hood would/will be any better...

He is more of what the team needs. You could see it in his first game back. He has a much quicker release and he can push the ball in transition. This team needs someone who wants to score the rock while Alec's scoring is MIA.

Ingles would be a good guy on a bench that had better players. Not a huge fan of his game with our current bench unit.

How do you fix this? Last night Burks took 6 shots, scored 12 points, and led the team in assists.
I believe Burks is the 3rd leading scorer on the team behind Hayward and favors.

Isn't that what we want from Alec? Or do you want Burks to take more shots/possessions than Gordon and derrick?

We want Burks to play better.

I want every player on the jazz to play better

Joe playing so much is helping Exum out there. He is a comfort factor. But, yes if we want to start winning games we need someone to step up. Why isnt Novak getting any burn? I thought he was our shooter.

The things that Ingles does really well don't always show in the box score. That works is other guys filling the box score.

For example last night against the clippers Griffin had Kanter about 15 feet out on the right side. Once he didn't see a double coming, Griffin reverse pivoted and went right. He wrongfooted Kanter by about half a step and I could see a foul coming. But Ingles dug down right from the top of the key. as Griffin's second dribble had left his hand. So Griffin had to hold up and pass it out.

Plays like that help Kanter and the others finish plays off. He does make a lot of mistakes too.

I also don't think it is a coincidence that Hayward often has scoring streaking with Ingles on the court in the 2nd quarter.

I agree, but you can only do so many little things. At the end of the day you have to start putting the ball in the basket, especially for a bench unit that can't score. 37/28 isn't cutting it.

We should remember that we got him off the waiver wire and he was someone's 16th guy and is currently our 6th or 7th. He's OK for a guy we got off waivers... he's actually much better in defense than I imagined he'd be. He's been disappointing in the shooting department so far.
