Was there ever any news about whether or not he was offered a deal this summer? We're we holding off offering something, or did Kanter's Kamp decide to test free agency?

This feel like it's gonna play out like Favors and Hayward. Favors and Burks both chickened out and decided to take the money. While Hayward got paid, and maybe Kanter will too.
kinda shows which 2 players have the guts to gamble on themselves to perform for the dough and respect and risking less money by doing so. give me these players. coincidence they are the best players on the team.Kanter is better than Favors and will separate himself even more as time goes on.

When does an infraction go away btw? I feel dirtier than I am with the "Infractions: 0/1 (1)"

Never. The mods have a God complex.
An infraction may not count against you anymore in terms of points, but this isn't like the Bible where your sins are "remembered no more." My infractions from back in 2010 and 2011 are still shown on the Settings page. It's like having a scarlet "A" on your chest. Or always having to list a conviction on job applications. You can be completely reformed, but they NEVER forget.

Here is Kanter's competition that are around his level or better. If I left anyone out its because I expect them to 100% resign with their team.

Paul Millsap
Greg Monroe
Al Jefferson (option, unlikely to opt in)
Tristan T (restricted but Cavs unlikely to match with Love)
Draymond Green (restricted, matching puts Warriors way into the lux)
Robin Lopez

You could make a case Kanter will be valued higher than any of those guys except Jefferson. Just depends on how he plays from now-April. If he is consistently getting double-doubles in the 18-10 range, he'll get a huge contract offer. He has shown 3PT range, yet still has many Jefferson-esque moves inside. Some team is going to be willing to gamble on his potential, just as Charlotte did with Hayward. All it takes is one team that really needs a big.

If he keeps playing the way he has AND continues to improve at the level he has so far, he'll be worth a big contract. If he gets to the point that he contributes like a #3 overall pick should be, then the Jazz will be in a much better situation moving forward than if he busts. I think that he keeps getting better. Because of that, I think the Jazz match.

You mean guys like Greg Monroe? Yeah, I'm sure the Pistons feel really lucky to have a guy who is willing to risk everything so he can get paid. I'm glad things worked out for Hayward, but there was a lot of luck involved with ideal circumstances. Let's not act like Hayward gambled on himself and then went out and kicked *** to earn a big contract. More like he got a big contract mostly based on someone willing to gamble on potential, in spite of a season that was ok but not great.

I don't blame Hayward for holding out for a better contract, but it's nuts to criticize guys who sign a reasonable extension because they value the security of not having to worry about an injury. Nothing against Hayward, but I sure hope he ends up thinking more like Tim Duncan than Kobe when it's time for his next contract. If he truly wants to win a championship someday, and I believe he does, it might be a good idea to leave a little bread on the table so his team has more ability to improve.

He's got a knack for scoring and his post moves have been wonderful, not to mention improvements in all areas this year from what I see...some with higher intensity than others. Would have to be mad to not keep him at the right price.

So who has flip flopped based of the recent play of Rudy?

Not me. I'm curious to see what he'll get on the open market as a RFA, but I still hope the Jazz match. Even with Rudy clearly showing franchise potential, the Jazz are better off with a 3 man rotation of Gobert/Favors/Kanter based on matchups. I'm still hoping they bring him back. I think that Kanter's best basketball is ahead of him (especially with how many players have shown improvement under Snyder's leadership.)

I have.

I not afraid to admit that's why I've flip flopped. Kanter was needed before Rudy, now he's expendable, and arguably should be traded because of the emergence of Rudy.

According to Wojnaroski, Tristan Thompson turned down $13M Per season extension From Cavs. 4-years and $52 million in total.

If his agent thinks Tristans value is a lot higher then that it's terrifying to think what Kanter might fetch.

WTF. Thompson absolutely sucks and should be a bench guy in this league imo.

Lol the Cavs are a joke.

If Kanter keeps playing like this he will be a real bargain to resign.... Rudy and Favors are our future big men, no doubt about it. I think think we need to use our cap space on another good guard, and not Kanter.

How good is the cavs cap situation? Agent might think they have the cavs by the balls if they don't have assets/cap to get another athletic big. TT is their only big with anything resembling quickness and athleticism on that team, and might not be able to get any sort of replacement, so they 'have' to keep him, even if over market value.

Tristan shares the same agent as LeBron... hmmmm.... I wonder if there is any side deal going on here. When Thompson gets a max deal don't be surprised... LeBron's runnin that ish.

Can't see a team out there that would offer Kanter more than $8 M per year the way he is playing right now. We need to bring him off the bench to see if he's useful in that role... that will be his role for us if he sticks around. If he gets offered anywhere near $13 M per, we need to walk away from the table or work a sign and trade and at least get a trade exception.
