Black Kid Shot in Gated Neighboorhood

hmmm, and as more details come to light....turns out the unarmed kid was assaulting Zimmerman, bashing his head into the concrete.
The media keeps showing pictures of the kid that are from 5 years ago.
And the mother is now trademarking his name. Interesting...
The kid has a history of assault, and was suspended from school for drugs.

And what is it with Pres Obama saying "If I had a son, it would look like Tray"
Is he saying that they all look alike? Huh?

If he had been through your training program, he would have beat the crap out of Zimmerman.

Why is this kid's background even brought up? I don't get it. Zimmerman didn't know that the kid had ever been suspended from school. He saw a black kid carrying a grocery sack and decided to kill him. He didn't have any access to school records. He didn't know this kid's name or background. So why would that weigh into his decision making at all?

I don't get it. Is it for those rationalizing this murder to feel less guilty about it? "Oh so he only killed someone who had been suspended from school sometime in his life." As if murdering someone who had been suspended from school somehow better than murdering someone who hadn't?

I'm not getting this logic.

The dude followed a kid who hadn't committed a crime. He let his racist feelings overrule his judgment. Error #1. He called the cops and the cops told him to back off.... He didn't. Error #2. He proceeded to kill a kid. Error #3.

Folks, it's pretty easy to see what happened here. Especially since, the dude mumbled on the phone with the cops a racist comment....

If you morans think that Zimmerman wasn't a racist and didn't murder a kid, then I have some wonderful real estate in Florida to sell you. I'll proudly announce that after you purchase this property, you'll be protected by a fat guy who kills people without reason and calls the cops nonstop (and then disobeys their instructions). Enjoy your property.

I do not understand the president of the United States not saying anything when a group of citizens issues a bounty for another citizen in the United States of America. The president or his Justice Department don't even seem interested in that. And then when this young kid gets shot in Sanford, Florida, the reaction is: If I had a son he would look like me? Sorry. That's the last thing that ever occurs to me when somebody gets shot. When somebody's murdered, the last thing that matters is that they look like me. It doesn't compute. But the left, they see things like this purely as surface matters. These are political opportunities for these people. That's the sad thing about this. Here you have the death of a American citizen that's seen as a political opportunity.

There's no humanity in that.

Huh?

A kid was murdered by a racist. The killing was all recorded on the phones. The police department hasn't made an arrest yet. Thousands of Americans are marching. If the President hadn't made a comment about this incident, he would have been criticized. So now that he expressed an opinion, he's being criticized.

I swear, Obama could cure cancer and some folks in this country would find fault in that.

If a bounty was placed on Zimmermans head then that cannot be allowed. No need for vigilante justice.

It's good to see another person who gets it. Obama implies that his kid would be black and that all whites have some sort of racism in them. Remember his quote from four years ago?

The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know - there's a reaction in her that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away and sometimes come out in the wrong way and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it. What makes me optimistic is you see each generation feeling less like that. And that's pretty powerful stuff.

The Thriller said:
I can't believe no one has mentioned that the killer err shooter called 911 forty-six times on New Years. Neighbors called him creepy and avid for his Neighborhood Watch job.

I'm cool with wanting to protect your community. But calling 911 forty-six times in one day? Ummmmmm... If that doesn't raise a red flag, then I don't know what would....

This dude was a punkass. Probably didn't have much of a social life... He loved Call of Duty... Felt powerful with a gun... Repeated before he murdered this teen err I mean protected himself, "These *racial slur* always get away." He was clearly the aggressor, looking to wipe someone out.

This is a pretty easy case for me. I have no clue why this thread has gone on for so long debating this issue.

Why is it relevant that the shooter called 911 46 times this year? Why is it relevant that he liked call of duty?

A racist? And you know this, how?
And all that talk that Zimmerman said racist things on the phone, now it turns out they are not true. He dropped some F-bombs, but nothing racist.
Do you know that Zimmerman is Hispanic? I thought that made him exempt from being racist...
I've heard the phone calls. They did not record anything of the sort.
There is a witness who saw Zimmerman getting beat up, and Zimmerman has injuries that prove it.

What Obama said is stupid and made no sense. Tray looks like what his son would look like if he had a son? So if Obama had a son, he would be a thug?
And he sure isn't curing cancer.
He did promise he would end race problems in America. How is that working out?

You know...today is the first day that I have really looked into this story. But on the weekend, when I heard that the family had gotten Al Shaprton involved, I knew something was up and I said right there that this was all gonna backfire.

.

I"m not understanding yours either. What the crap are you talking about?

When Zimmerman was getting the crap beat out of him, with Tray saying he was going to kill him, I don't think Zimmerman gave a damn about anything that Tray had done up to that point.

All he knew was that he was getting his head pounded into the concrete.

Cute innocent little Trayvon may have been suspended for assaulting his bus driver, per his brother's tweet.

https://www.examiner.com/charleston...von-martin-s-ten-day-suspension#ixzz1qCOnYuC9

The media reported that he was suspended ten days for tardiness. I find that hard to believe. The update at the end of the article says he was suspended for smoking weed on school grounds. Either one seems more plausable.

Google this: Trayvon Martin Twitter

See his Twitter handle and some of his tweets. I'm not going to post the link here because I know some of the liberals here are just dying to report me for posting something that may be considered offensive, when they really just want to silence free speech.

The Thriller, would you let this guy date your daughter (if you had one, and if he was still alive ;))?

I think that when all of the facts come out, you'll see that like Rodney King, this punk deserved what he got. ;)

And what a surprise, Craig sides with the racists. I guess repulsiveness comes in an all-inclusive package.

it sucks to have no facts on your side doesn't it.

But then, that is the essence of being a liberal. No facts, but you want the story to be one way, so you just make it that way and ignore the facts and hope nobody notices.

Where's the outrage?

https://news.yahoo.com/student-shot-dead-mississippi-state-university-054223724.html

By the way, as of this afternoon they have apprehended one of the suspected shooters.
I know! I wish people would care more about this since it's about a white guy being killed by black guys. And right, I know it's different because the three shooters haven't been identified then let go like Zimmerman, but by golly! I, like you, just wish people would start talking about white people being killed in typical cases instead of an unusual case dealing with a black guy. It's hard for people like Scat and I to get involved with that discussion because we just don't care. Keep posting articles like this Scat. I think there was a murder in 1903 where a white guy was killed by a black guy and the black guy went to jail. Where's the outrage, right?!

Things I learned from this thread include

1: No hispanic has ever been racist against blacks. Being hispanic automatically means you could not possibly be racist against blacks.

2: It is totally legal to stalk some kid, chase him down, corner him, and then blow his brains out. You just have to make sure he gets a couple of good punches in. Then you can claim self defense, even though you were the one who started the whole thing and actually chased him down. And you can even outweigh him by 100 pounds, it's still okay to blow his brains out in self defense.

3: You can have a long history of violence, including being arrested for assault on a police officer. It doesn't matter. Everyone will be more caught up with the allegations that the kid you just killed may or may not have smoked some weed at some point in his life.

4: A man with a history of violence admittedly killed an unarmed kid in what appears to be a racially motivated encounter. He was not even arrested. The racial minority who has always felt that the system doesn't help them, police are out to get them, etc, are understandably appalled by this. When the president tells them he is with them, making them believe they are a real part of this county and justice will be served, that makes him a bad guy. He should have just let the situation escalate into Rodney King style riots. Calming the situation was the wrong approach.

5: The right of being innocent until proven guilty is apparently not meant for everyone. If you admittedly kill an unarmed kid, who weighs 100 pounds less than you, after you chased him and cornered him, nobody should assume you did anything wrong. However, you have every right to question, follow, chase, corner, and eventually kill anyone who you suspect might be doing something wrong. And it doesn't matter if in the end you were wrong, and it was just some kid walking home from the 7-11, carrying candy and iced tea, while talking to his girlfriend.

6: Apparently some peoples' right to be presumed innocent in the court of public opinion, until proven guilty in a court of law, regardless of the known facts, is the most important thing in the world. It's so important, in fact, that it trumps an innocent kid's right to live.

Things I have learned:

1. When a black kid is killed and you see an opportunity, first tell everyone what a great kid he was and make him a saint, and scrub his twitter account while you're at it

2. Putting a bounty on the shooter's head is A-OK. Don't tell the black panthers to calm down and let the legal system go to work.

3. Everyone is free to make assumptions.

4. Make sure to turn this all into a race issue....by using assumptions of course.

5. Post pictures of the deceased that are of the kid when he was 5 years younger to make him look more innocent.

6. Make T-shirts showing your hate for the shooter. It's ok to hate as long is it is justifiable.

Zimmerman had problems with his ego and only felt powerful when he was butting into business that he shouldn't have. This time, he took it way too far and killed a teen. He needs to be sentenced to either life or the chair.

For the future, jackasses like these need to be released from their duties. Protect, sure. But he called the cops 46 times in one day. Folks, how did he retain his job after that? The Police and community should have taken this dude's gun and walkie talkie away and forced him to get off welfare and get a real job.

Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is America. Be proud. Media Spin > Facts. I remember reading about Nazi Germany in school and wondered how in Thee Hell a nation could end up that way. Well, I don't wonder anymore. Thriller, not only are your facts wrong, (SHOCKING, I know) but you are more than happy to send this guy to the chair. Great job at asserting that he didn't have a social life, was a video gamer, was on a power-trip with a gun, and called the kid a racial slur as he was murdering him. As I'm sure you've already noticed, when the media reported Zimmerman as saying, ""These *racial slur* always get away."" it wasn't a racial slur, but "*** Holes" -- but hey, that would totally deflate your already flawed and stupid argument. I like how you lobbed him into the welfare category as well. Makes it a lot more sensational, you know?

Furthermore, the police told him to back off to stop following.... Zimmerman ignored their instructions and proceeded to steal the life of a 17-year old.

Except they didn't. But I like how you made it more Hollywood by stating, "Proceeded to steal the life of a 17-year old." Very dramatic. Well done.

Do away with this white trash and send his soul to hell. He and Josh Powell can have a party.

Thank goodness America doesn't stand for fair trials, juries of peers, due process, etc. BURN THAT SUM'BITCH!

The mere fact that he hasn't been arrested, exposes racism.

I'm white and I KNOW that this is complete racist ********. From the killing to the lack of arrest.

You KNOW, huh? Amazing. You should call the FL police department and let them know that, through the media, you have seen the light and now KNOW. They will be so relieved.

What pisses me off the most, is that this was completely avoidable. Yet, this society has lost so much common sense....

A dumbass who calls 911 forty-six in one day, SHOULDN'T HAVE A GUN and SHOULDN'T BE A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH.

There you go with that whole "fact thing" getting in the way of logical thought. Anyway, back to the lynching.

This is so gross to me. Zimmerman was a waste of air. He shouldn't have taken out his frustration and paranoia out on someone with potential.
Right. How many times have you met this guy? Read his resume? Have any idea who he is or what he stands for? Oh, you've only read what has been posted in the paper over the last couple of days? Amazing that you can come to these determinations so astutely. Did you graduate from the U?

Yet, I'm more pissed that Zimmerman was even placed in such a position. Someone that should have been in a nuthouse shouldn't have a gun or be placed in any authority.

The guy was out watching over his neighborhood. He wasn't placed in any situation, he was volunteering his time and talents to keep his neighbors safe. Ya, what a loony tune. They should've just locked him up for calling 911 3843 times in ONE DAY! OMG!!!!1 -- this wouldn't have happened!!1

I'm just still so intrigued that there are people who's dog in this fight is the guy that shot and killed an unarmed kid. Blown away might be the better way to put it.

Cheers to your courage.

Dog in the fight? The only dog I have in this fight is the Constitution and the laws and rights of the people of this nation.

Cheers to your ignorance.

I was always taught that you are innocent until proven guilty by a jury of your peers. 99% of Zimmerman's peers here would have already strung him up...

I don't think people here understand how hard it is for me to agree with Scat, Millslopper, AND Craigy in the same post, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

I do not understand the president of the United States not saying anything when a group of citizens issues a bounty for another citizen in the United States of America. The president or his Justice Department don't even seem interested in that.

Obama's involvement in this is cringe-worthy. I wanted him to succeed SO badly as the President, but every time he gets the chance, he bows down and sucks the media's big toe. I'm so disappointed.

But earlier you were just fine to bring up the background on the shooter. I also bolded your text because, well, I'm just certain that that is what was going through Zimmerman's mind at the time. Your intellect is staggering.

I just thought this was worth quoting again, because, wow.

I would like to quote and respond to northeast, but even my brain has limits. Suffice it to say, Gods, you're stupid.

Now that that is all done, I think it's a damn shame that this kid died. I think it's a damn shame that this guy pulled the trigger, and that he has to live with the result of that decision. I think it's a damn shame that a family lost their son to a bullet, and another family lost a son to the media. I think it's a damn shame that The Reverend Al Sharpton got involved. (why the **** do we call him THE Reverend?) The chances of Zimmerman getting a fair trial were slim to none in the first place, but thanks to the great Rev, it's now nigh impossible.

It will be interesting to see this trial unfold.
