Breaking News! Enes Kanter won't join the national team this summer

Did any of you watch Turkey play last year?

Talk about reenforcing bad habits.

Enes, stay the **** away from that **** team and train with the Jazz. You're in the NBA.

If he isn't in Turkey he better be at P3 working on that bod.

God I've held my tongue on this board for months but I just can't take it anymore.

What do we know behind the scenes? Nothing. Are we now all Turkey nationals? Good grief. Why is this disheartning? He needs to take more time to study and learn the Jazz playbook and sets, the last thing he needs is a completely different system to **** with his head and playing style. He's still malable clay and the less outside hands on him the better! The Turkish team certainly doesn't see him as as valuable as we do. Even if they do like him, it is in a completely different sense. Whose to say this isn't Jazz recommended?

What I do know is that I'm sure the Jazz brass and FO are keeping constant tabs on Kanter. Because they can now since the lockout is over. So who gives two ****s if he's not playing in this. I'm sure he is training hard one way or the other.

Man, that can't be more wrong. Do you even know why Enes Kanter is on the Jazz today? Because of the Turkish NTs. He hasn't shone in a club ever other than the young-ages national teams. And the team was preparing to make him the main player and the center of the seniors' NT for the next 10-15 years. National competition in the European Basketball is very important and we all of us were seeing him as our center piece of the NT for the future.

Can you tell me how the Jazz organization or you value Enes? I'm OK with the second part of your statement, maybe we see him in a different sense but definitely way way more valuable than the Jazz see. And apparently even more than he deserves.

He made announcements like that in the past. He's young, he's surrounded buy people who tell him exaggerated things about his value and therefore he sees himself higher above many things he should be dealing with. That's natural for his situation, but at the same time, the reactions that will come back from the Turkish supporters will be natural. Us Turks are emotional when it comes to nationalist issues -especially about sports issues- so Kanter will taste a bite from that cake. If he cares about gaining appreciation in his hometown -although I definitely think he does not judging by his mood to route his career- the only way is through supporting the national team for whole of his career. Okur once refused to come and he became a traitor in the eyes of many Turks without delay.

I think this is being too hard on the star players. They have individual careers to take care of, on which they'll build their whole life. And hometown crowds won't have much real impact on those careers that's for sure. Same for Enes, he'll have to take care of himself. That includes watching out for black-hearted exploiting dickweeds up from his manager to the people hw sees the least. But, both Enes and players like him that suddenly looked like an acehole in the public eye must feel the necessity to erase that image, gesture them, make them feel like you always care about the NT and will support it whenever possible. Otherwise, it'll be one hell of a negative kharma on ya pal.

I agree that the Turkish team's coaching was horrible, but Enes needs game experience to develop, and this competition is ideal, much better than Summer League. I wish the Jazz beat writers would contact him and ask him why he has made this decision, so that we can understand his rationale, if indeed he has a justifiable one.

I'm still waiting for the Jazz or Enes to make an official statement on the matter. It seemed like Utah was all for Kanter playing there this off-season.

I heard Kanter **** on a picture of the Turkish President and burned the flag as he withdrew from the team. Then he ate a cheeseburger from America and pissed on a plate of Kebabs.

That's nothing. Give the president's pic to anyone from half of the country and they'll immediately **** on it. They hate him for turning the country's revolution backwards and into a political Islamist country. The other half including me prefers a government free of religious discrimination even though I and many others are Muslim.

Enes' dad's a professor and I believe his statement is just his action so Kanter and his agent don't know anything about it. He says both Enes and his brother sweated blood (btw "KAN-TER" means "SWEAT-BLOOD" in Turkish) and still doin' it for NT's, the Kanter family will always proudly keep doin' it etc. I believe his words. It's hard to be on their side nowadays. Us Turks are so damn easily motivated by media to start a witchhunt when it comes to NT issues. We have anticipated too much from the young kid to bring to Turkish basketball, and now many of us are simply disappointed. He'll come around and play for his country again one day, I'm sure of it. That kinda **** happens every time.

Most of the Turkish people wish to see president's head in the plate so if Kanter does what u say, he can gain the respect of the fans back lol! You made me laugh

Such an empty statement. Still there is no any logical explanation.

I do not know who is fooler. Kanter's agent Max Ergul or Kanter. It is not about being emotional but keeping your promises. Kanter's behaved as a 9 year old child and hiden behind of his dad. And his dad's declaration is just a piece of ....

If you look at the event as Jazz, it sucks again too. Turkish national team's manager has just told that jazz let him to play in the tournament, gain experience and the federation paid 70 K for the insurance stuff.

Yes, he should avoid having bad habits reinforced by Al Jefferson instead.

Wait...
