I'd be willing to give up both Treys in a deal for Schroeder. He'd obviously be an upgrade at PG this year. Next year we could experiment with running Schro and Exum together (along with playing Hayward at the 4 more). Quin has always been an advocate of "positionless" basketball, after all. The defense, penetration, and passing they would provide together would be tantalizing. It's just a question of whether they could space the floor well enough. I suspect they'll both be serviceable spot up shooters, and playing them together with Hood and Hayward at the 4 would provide good spacing. There's a chance it could work, and is worth taking a risk on, imo.
I'm definitely interested in acquiring Schro, and there's a chance he and Exum could coexist like they did in the Hoop Summit, I'm just not interested in giving up Burks or Hood for him yet. We've got other assets to make it work. Just because Atlanta isn't rebuilding doesn't mean future assets like young players and draft picks are worthless to them.
