Following potential 2017 draftees...

No offense, but you are way off on this. Almost zero chance the pistons trade the #12 to dump Drummond.

I hate to say it, but between this and talking about Utah taking on bad contracts to gain a pick, I think you have a case of draft fever. Every year there is a couple of guys who start salivating over the rookies coming into the league, and their minds go to work on ideas where Utah can get another early pick or two, because they can't settle for just one guy or a guy in our range.

Sorry catch, but you got da fever.

Yep. Technically, it's OCD. I got the idea from a Pistons' fan board though actually.

Catchall does it every year.

Lakers let media film this drill for their workout groups. Jordan Bell starts at 3:17 and looked pretty good shoot dribble pull-up 3's. He cheated though most of the time though throwing himself outlet lead passes so he didnt have to dribble as much.

i have to admit I get the fever at times but it is more that I like a lot of the players and I dont want to see them playing for anther team.

players I am looking to upgrade either through the draft, trade or free agency

Exum - love the guy (see my name) but if he will net a good vet (a part of a trade) I say pull the trigger
Neto - but he is the ideal 3rd pg.
hood - again if he can net us a good vet.
Burks - his days are numbered
Favs - I love the guy and he is one of my favorite players but I want a better fit next to our super star in gobert
Lyles - I want some experience
Withey - His troubles will get him out of town.

JJ - Just because he is older and I would love to see him mentoring a young player but i want him on the roster

I thought Alford looks good. I think the thing for this drill is to look at form and intensity. I'm guessing they do these drills at the end of the workout when they are all probably spent.

I watched enough UCLA games in the past few years to realize alford is not an NBA talent.

Ehh, it's possible. Elite catch and shoot and off-the-dribble from 3 and is quicker than people probably give him credit for. I could see him pulling an Ian Clark and dropping 30+ in a SL game and getting a 2-way contract from someone.

i am trying to decide if I like the idea of having ivan rabb on the team. He is a good rebounder but watching his highlight videos he makes a lot of jump shot because he gets pushed way out on post up. He has no lower body strength.

He's a below-the-rim player. His athleticism is mediocre and he's a bit stiff -- similar to Lamarcus Aldridge, though Rabb's a bit shorter. He's skilled and he'll be able to score, especially from mid-range, but I'm not sure how well he'll rebound at the next level. He might also get killed trying to guard in space. Rabb and John Collins have some similar strengths and weaknesses.

Here's some fresh Kurucs. Now listed at 6'9" and 200 lbs. Hope the Jazz get a workout with this guy. He's 3 years younger than Justin Jackson (UNC).

The European guy on a draft podcast I like absolutely hates Kurucs. Says he is being extremely overrated by people right now.
