Gamethread: jazz in Milwaukee playing "just one game" at 18:00

Ok the young guys played good, but it was just one game and "just" against bobcats. The bucks are a strong team and i think that we need at least AL to give some offense.
Was AL on training yesterday ? Will he play ?´

And when was the last time Al or Millsap did what Kanter did against anybody? They have played a lot of games the last 2 years against teams every bit as bad as the Bobcats. Where are their 20/20 games. In fact has Millsap ever done it?

Millsap's never had a 20/20 game and the only time Jefferson did it was the 3OT game against Dallas last April.

on the court speaking.
he needs the bulk of the shots at center to be a nuetral or positive impacton the game.
he needs to score close to 30 to not have a negative impact on the team.
at center he sucks.
and he is to slow to defend at the pf.
also he is taking away minutes form kanter and favors.
big al the basketball player is a problem to this team
big al the person might have a positive chemistry/lockerroom impact

Interesting,
So Enes goes 23-22 in 44 minutes, took 12 shots, made 10 of those shots. Enes took 4 free throws, made 3.
Big Al goes 28-26 in 54 minutes, took 25 shots, made 14 of those shots. Big Al took no free throws.

I will give this to Al, he only had 1 turnover to Enes' 5 turnovers, but one stat that really impressed me. Enes only had 1 foul in 44 minutes.

Looking at all this, and considering Enes is 20, the future looks really bright and I'm ready for it to began.
 
Surprisingly, i actually kinda hope paul is out more than i hope Al is out just so favors can have another chance to show us that he is ready to play just as much as kanter is. (favors recieved alot of criticism, and rightly so, after the bobcats game)

On second thought, knowing corbin, if either paul or jeffy is out tonight favors will be the one who gets alot more minutes even though kanter is the one that deserves them..... so im back to wanting jeffy to miss the game way more than millsap. Dont know what i was thinking.

jazz defense with big al on the floor is just as worse as the bobcats

The problem isn't Jefferson. The problem is Corbin's use of him. If you use Al as a smaller piece of the offense he could be extremely valuable

That is exactly the issue with Al. There's no evidence to suggest that he can be used in any other way than he's been used. You either take him for his warts to get something out of him, or you might as well burn the money you're paying him. Al has improved at playing within a team concept, but he still has a long way to go there and has holes to his game that will likely never get addressed (transition presence, quickness of any mention, cannot catch a ball while moving or score while moving to save his life, toughness).

That said, if he's just going to continue to be who has been and who he still mostly is, taking a 50-ish% pay cut and coming off the bench (as team rhythm is hardly a factor for how good or bad he plays, in addition to hiding his massive defensive inability) is probably his surest chance of contributing to the winning of a team. That, or playing for the Spurs who will make him amazing, I'm sure.

I'd give it to Kanter. He got to the line a little where Al did not. Kanter shot a much higher % than Al. Kanter did it in less time. Kanter had less fouls. Kanter played D.
 
you are just looking at it on the wrong side. How many players got a 20/20 game on their SECOND game as a starter ??? I bet that no one in the NBA was able to do this before Enes the Menace did...

And I also bet, that Kanter would have at least 3 or 4, 20/20 games until jet, with getting starter minutes like Dwight or Shaq on their first season...
