perhaps grasping at straws here, but Kicky, at least this won't be something you'll have to be disappointed about

I don't wish ill on Big Fes.

In related news, apparently she's reading this thread so I have to tone down how candid I'm being about how I feel about things.

The way I look at it, she could be just grateful you're bawling to your friends and taking in some sympathy, even in the form of awful suggestions of "getting even" somehow, instead of actually doing anything. It's actually sorta sweet of you to even mourn the falling out, all things considered.

There was an old ballad about "clouds" in the sixties that had some advice I liked, along with "It's clouds' illusions I recall": Leave them laughing when you go.

There isn't anyone here looking at hooking up with her, so the only reason she's looking in here is she's lonely and misses you or something. Pretty sure she isn't getting her "validation" here, or finding willing sympathizers to do her own pity party. . . .

perhaps, just perhaps, there's a wee chance that your response to my comment is indicative of some communication issues the two of you may have had? How you could conclude that my comment had anything to do with anyone wishing ill on Big Fes is beyond me.

It was meant to be a light-hearted comment to make you feel better - I realize, as you mentioned, that Fes was "#9" on the list of reasons that the move was a mistake, but hey, at least you can cross #9 off the list. However long that list may be, there's one less reason on it. I wish the best for Fesenko, I hope he finds a place in the NBA or D-League so your amusing fandom can continue!

And I wish the best for you, too!

Maybe I'm reaching here but this seems like both a (unintended?) shot at Kicky and you drawing conclusions to something that wasn't even there. We all know Kicky's a douche. But there's no need to rub salt in the wound and make comments like this about the kid. I'm sure he communicated everything just fine. He at least deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Now, if he is going to be criticized, it's about why he gives a damn what his ex now thinks. If it's because there's a chance, or he hopes, things will be rekindled, okay, I guess I get it. If it's not, then he shouldn't care. He's chronicling what happened. Nothing more. Not speaking badly about the girl. Not posting compromising pics of her. Not posting her address or phone number. Just telling us what occurred. If she can't live with that, maybe she needs to get the **** over herself.

May peace be with you Kicky.

Kicky, there is a website I can't disclose on jazzfanz. Basically, you submit inapproriate pics your lady sent you for all to see online. I say return the favor.

Good luck Kicky. While the bay area and Biglaw money might have been nice, it sounds like you are getting out of Biglaw so that could improve the enjoyment you get out of life by quite a bit. And leaving Biglaw after a couple of years is very normal and won't hurt your future as badly as it may appear at this moment.

Don't be so cold, and yes you are jumping to conclusions.

This smells like a complete setup from 1100 miles away but I'm not jumping onto that ship so quickly. Relationships are tough things. For all we know Kicky's chickex is scared out of her gourd and hasn't the first clue how to react. Kicky pretty much just devoted his life to her--TO YOU... EVERYTHING!--and you either set him up or you just don't know how to deal this kind of love. My outside guess is a dazed, unbelieving girl who was completely unprepared for a man to give everything up for her. Lady, life really can be that good for you. Call Kicky before it gets too far out of hand.

I'm The Madame now?

Damn, look at you all calm and reasonable.

I thought that was a bit strange as an insinuation too. Perhaps the New Year's cheer is fueling the fires of creative genius or something, causing a warm fuzzy feelgood on random thoughts/questions that ordinarily would be squelched out of reasonable fears of OPIs. . .. Other Peoples' Interpretations. . . . . , otherwise known as the foundation of civilization as we imagine it to be.

OK, frankie, you cling to that liferaft for another week and we'll see if you want to get out of the sun yet, OK?

I'm willing to accept Kicky's notion that the chickex had real class, afterall. But Dammitall, chicks rally around any of their own who get hung up on an emotional reef at low tide, and Kicky needs us. At least for a while.

I really liked her, but at the end of the day, she hurt one of my boys. She is public enemy #1 until Tink tells me otherwise.

Reminds me of Karl Malone switching teams. I didn't care how much I loved him or how much he did for MY team, once he jumped ship, the relationship was over.

I was merely saying that I would prefer he have a job than that my issue was marginally less awful. And trust me, the entire thing isn't based on some linguistic misunderstanding or series of misunderstandings.

Thanks. I regarded jazzfanz as a semi-zone of privacy for me in the relationship. I kind of assumed I got the website in the breakup. Some of the financial details (the $30k bonus in particular) I didn't share with her because when it looked like this whole thing was going to work out I didn't want to make her feel bad about my moving for financial reasons. In essence I kept some details back to prevent her from feeling too guilty. In essence, she found out about that for the first time on this website, that's why I'm saying I have to be a little more discrete on here.

And I am hoping there is some path where we can normalize things. It would be ridiculous for me to claim I loved her for all these years and then to behave as if I didn't want her around at all. In that sense, I guess I do care about her feelings still even after she did what she did.

I really liked her, but at the end of the day, she hurt one of my boys. She is public enemy #1 until Tink tells me otherwise.
