Hollinger REALLY high on the Jazz

Sometimes I think he completely full of crap. Like everyone, he's got good and bad.

I like Hollinger because of his unique view of things. He has a set statistical way of viewing performance, and he sticks to it regardless of what he might think otherwise. Everyone else is so subjective in their analysis that it makes me sick. I don't care if they were a former player/coach/GM, it seems they rarely give us insight that we can't see ourselves by simply watching the games.

I'm spent .. and very disappointed. I was told the GSW trade was 'done' and there was no hair on it. I'm afraid to ask and get my own hopes up. Only thing I've heard is there are ongoing talks with ALL of HOU, CLE, 76ers, and POR. If I get anything add'l, that seems substantial, I'll share.

It doesn't have to be real, just make it up.

My inside sources tell me Hollinger knows only statistics, and has an average (at best) eye for the game.

TRADE AL

My inside source tells me that there are talks between Utah and Detroit. Looks like the Jazz want Knight and the Detroit pick. I am not sure of all the specifics yet. Will add as they come up.

That is the kind of stuff that I want to hear. Please update us as you know more.

I wouldn't trade Millsap for the #6 pick unless he's given every indication that he won't re-sign. Quote me.

TRADE AL

I'd take it one step further. If he indicates he is not going to resign and be our 6th man then trade him. Having said that I am really hoping he resigns and is the 6th man.

I'd trade Paul for the 6th pick. Quote me.

It would pain me trade him to the Blazers though. Remember the last time we traded with the Blazers and drafted a PG though.........

At Best Buy today, I overheard KOC tell the salesman that if he would stop trying to sell him the *bleep* extended warranty, then we would trade Jefferson, Bell, and our 2nd round pick to New Orleans for Eric Gordon, the #1 pick, and the #10 pick.

I agree with this, and I'd even think of throwing in the GSW pick as well. It's the same thought process as trading DWill where you control what happens. We could make the trade and know we'd get a decent piece that will be on the team for a minimum of 4 years, or we could keep Millsap who may prove costly to resign or who may get plucked away by another team, and hope that the GS pick is 8-10 again next year in a weaker draft.

I would not trade away the GS Pick, maybe a future 1st rounder but we would be clearing cap space too. Then we could sign Gerald Wallace to plug up the hole at SF.

....a fantastic turn of events would be to unload Jefferson, keep Sap and still end up with the 6th pick! But who in the world would take Jefferson off our hands? I can't think of any imbecile in professional basketball that would do it, can you? Could we possible package Jefferson along with the rights to Klinko, Tag, Harpring and future draft choices and an undisclosed amount of cash.....AND.....a player to be named later to make it work???
