Panic! At the Jazzfanz
Pops fired the head coach and then took over. He sat out all his good players. Then he drafted Duncan. He is the orig....
Oh wait, 100 other people have already posted this. Oops!
Bottom line:
The Spurs are smart
The Jazz are not
We win absolutely nothing by maintaining the vets' playing time and winning games this year. I would definitely put Jabari in that Tim Duncan category. He could step in right now and be the 3rd best wing in the NBA behind Lebron and KD. Give him a few more years and he will be the best player in the league. He's got the "it" factor.
Yup, Pops has been doing it all along. For one thing, he rests his vets before the playoffs to get them ready. Ol' Jer thought that was shameful. I thought it was smart.
I made a comment. You "corrected" me with bad information. I responded with more detailed correct information, and then you give me this crap as if I need to read every one of your posts before responding to one of them. **** you.Nope don't know what you're talking about, just don't look at the 3 previous posts.

Posts like this one drive me insane. You may be content with cheering for a middle of the road team but I am not. You seem to think that "nothing has changed" is a positive. In my opinion, if that's really the case, it's a huge negative.
Locke has already criticized Pops for doing this. He's a dumbass. Just today on DJ and PK he defended Jefferson and he called winning 25-30 games this year a "victory."
Yes..... A victory....
I've actually thought a little bit about this: how weird would it be if Ty was let go and the Dennis Lindsey becomes the coach?
That's why this thread is suggestions.
Most say Jabari would score between 18-20 right now. F scoring leaders in the NBA are:
Durrant 28
Carmello 26
James 25
Gay 19
Parsons 17
Young 15
So, fourth best wing right now? But I'd bet NY would trade Carmello for a 20 ppg Parker and not think twice about it. So, third best wing. Unless you think Gay is going to break out or something.
We understand allah dat........... we just don't like it and hope the jazz do something about it (trade marvin and jeffy for garbage, rest our good players more, hold players out of games for having a cold, etc)Hope you find your sanity. I am not content rooting for a mediocre team (where the heck did you get that from, I wonder?) and would love to get a top 3 pick. My statement reflected the fact that some folks seem shocked at where we are headed (most likely 4th-9th worst record), which was quite foreseeable. Some seem to have seen the worst record early and anchored on this, thinking it to be our destiny. Rather, the team was destined to struggle early and improve over the course of the season as two things happen: (1) the youngs improve and (2) the schedule gets easier. Competing for worst record is and has always been highly unlikely (despite all the bad teams in the east which much play each other, as I've pointed out elsewhere). We'll be bad, not worst, in my opinion. We'll see, time will tell
That is right, my comment was not about the suggestions, it was about the apparent surprise expressed by some folks that we are actually mediocre and not terrible in the last stretch of games Sorry if that wasn't clear.
Weird would not be the word. Since DL has never coached at any level and is a back office strategist and analytical wonder, that would be bizarro world on steroids. Whereas Pop had coached at college level and was assistant coach under Larry Brown and Don Nelson, before moving into GM roles. DL seems like he is grounded in his strengths and weaknesses and there is 0 chance he would do this, not would the Millers allow it.
DL should coach and The Jazz should bring back Karl Malone.
Hear me out. First off, this is not too far off from what Pop did in 96. He brought in Dominique Wilkins - and if I remember correctly he was in his late 30's at the time and did not even play in the league the previous season. He then centered the offense around him. OK, Malone is 50 but he's probably in better shape now than Wilkins was in 96.
So now, The Jazz get to tank the season AND they get to draw fans to see Malone go the record for all time scoring leader.
I'd suggest bringing Stockton back as well - but, you know, that's a little crazy.
As a added benefit, David Stern would probably drop dead - thereby getting rid of him and Adam Silver, who will obviously throw himself on to Stern's coffin at the burial.
So you're saying that the year San Antonio tanked for Duncan it worked out because they were clearly the worst team? Things wouldn't have played out differently if they hadn't sat Robinson and others? ... or should we learn a lesson from watching San Antonio make every move with their eye on an eventual championship yet again. That's the way I would like the Jazz to be run.Hope you find your sanity. It might also be nice to give the Benoit for 3 era another chance.Wouldn't mind bringing in Rony Seikaly, too, just so we can see what that trio would have looked like.
I think the Hayward for 3 era will suffice. It might also be nice to give the Benoit for 3 era another chance.
