That's nuts!
Wow LOL wtf this is a new one
That's nuts!
Since the teams aren't all in the same division they have to look at conference record.
Hmm let me do the math
OKC against Jazz - 3-1
OKC against Blazers - 0-4
OKC against Spurs/Pelicans 2-2
Total - 5-7
Blazers against OKC - 4-0
Blazers against Jazz (in this scenario) 1-3
Blazers against Spurs 1-2
Blazers against Pelicans 2-2
Total 6-5 / 7-5
Jazz against OKC - 1-3
Jazz against Blazers (in this scenario) - 3-1
Jazz against Spurs/Pelicans - 3-1
7-5
.... **** this is hard lol
Source? For multi-way ties a division winner is the first tie-breaker.
http://www.nba.com/news/features/playoff.tiebreakers/It should be conference record, not head-to-head record in a 4-way tie.
Let's confirm.
WAIT you're right! (sorry for spamming...) even though it would be a four way tie, first the division winner would be determined as a 3 way tie between us, Portland and OKC, which Portland would win with the better head to head record. Then it would be a three way tie between us, OKC and SA/NO, which OKC would win and be 4th and we would be 5th and play OKC
so, how do we beat the thunder? Hope westbrook bricks everything?
it's like the worst matchup for us.
Keep Steven Adams off the damn glass
Locke did it and ruined our fun

The bizarre division 3 team tie breaker within a overall 4 team tie is definitely ****ing stupid and an archaic biproduct of pointless divisions
I don't think Lillard and McCollum can stay hot enough, long enough to win a 7-game series. Maybe someone like Nukic or Harkless goes off and steals a win, but I think we'd beat Portland in 6 or 7 games.
If Memphis beats OKC then all bets are off. We could then play SA or NO. Maybe denver or minneosta too. Really sucks they beat the Rockets 2 games ago.
