What were you expecting our pick to be at 21. Of course he is going to be a bench player, we have Rubio and Donovan starting. The Jazz bench needs improvement if we are going to compete against Houston and GS of the NBA. Burks is gone and O'Neale defense is great but his shooting is horrible most of the time. He is also insurance if Exum doesn't come back. He can play the backup PG with Oneile being the SG. I expect that he will be in the rotation coming off the bench. I will let the coaches figure out when and how much he plays.
Joe Ingles is quite tall for a wing (Allen is not), and has a silky, otherworldly feel for the game. I really don't see the comparison, which isn't to say that Allen can't be a nice player.
Michael Jordan’s hand length and span are 9.75 inches and 11.375 inches respectively. Jordan stands at 6’6 but his hand length is around the average of a 7’9” man. MJ’s hand length is around 12.1% longer than the average hand length for his height which is about 8.7 inches. His hand span is also 21% wider than average for his height with the average being around 9.4 inches. Jordan’s hand span is around the average for a man who stands close to 8’0. Surprisingly, MJ has a longer hand length than Wilt Chamberlain though Wilt’s hand span is wider.
Last year there happened to be a guy with other worldly physical skills and they equally loved who he was as a person and leader. It’s easy to see that they fell head over heel in love with him to the point DL threatened death to anyone that said anything about the workout, plus what assets do they have to entice a teamwant to move that far back, and they aren’t getting rid of an asset for someone that they aren’t sure about, then you have to get lucky with Denver falls in love with a young guy like Lyles and rumor is Grayson dominated the workout. I’m not sure there was a guy that wowed the jazz like DM didI get it. Just keep in mind that our starting center and DPOY was picked at #27, and last year we moved up from #24 to get our franchise player. Maybe my expectations were a bit jacked up. If the Jazz wanted to be more aggressive in the draft, they probably could have been. Don't be surprised if players like Hutchison, Simons, Okobo and Musa become quality starters in a couple years.
Didn’t Stockton have really big hands that allowed him to make passes without picking up his dribble and helped him finish inside on drives?Grayson confirmed next GOAT

There are a lot of people that can have a high (basketball) IQ and not have a good feel for the game. Most head coaches in the league (ones that played in NBA or not, most weren't stars, and even stars can lack a feel for the game), for example.Silky other worldly game. (high IQ)
Watching Allen play, he has that. Very good passer can run an offense, can also play off the ballThere are a lot of people that can have a high (basketball) IQ and not have a good feel for the game. Are you real about the 'what difference does size make' thing? It affects every aspect of play, but would argue it's mostly the innate ability to defend. Ingles is 4 inches taller, has a wingspan that's 3 inches wider, and a standing reach that's 8 inches taller.
They really aren't that similar. They are, however, both white, work hard, and can shoot.
Alright.Watching Allen play, he has that. Very good passer can run an offense, can also play off the ball
Yep.Through out his Duke career, he was always the one with ball in hand in the clutch, he was the guy coach K trusted with the game on the line
This meltdown is what bothers me the most about Allen. The stupid kicking foul... stupid. The meltdown? WTF??
Alright.
Yep.
I'm not sure you're understanding the difference between "feel", "IQ", and just being good. Allen is a spazz that knows what to do, while Ingles lobs all night, executes all kinds of passes with surgical precision, hits threes on high volume and percentages, takes what the defense gives, erases other team's players routinely, and makes it look like he's not even trying.
But, whatever. I don't actually care or even know why I'm in the weeds on this topic with you.
Someone ban me.
I love the passion and fight. Not the way he displayed it all the time.
Thankfully this is Utah and not Sactown. We have a strong FO, coaching staff, locker room and fan base. If there was ever a team to direct and control said passion and fight it’s a team like the Jazz.
He wants to win. If coach Snyder says do this instead of that, Grayson would respond. Come on, he was younger and he doesn't have issues of the court. He will be fine.
