Jazz vs Blazers

Does it really take an NBA coach tinkering with a lineup to find out Evans comes off the bench?

I'm not claiming I have the slightest clue why Ty did what he did.. but I sincerely hope it was something other than plain stupid.

I don't think anyone thinks Trey will be as good as Lillard, if that's what you're inferring.

Nah. Just thought it'd be an interesting comparison. Especially with all the ROY talk floating around, and Trey being #2 behind Oladipo on the Vegas odds.

I guess he wanted to see if kanter got injured who he would put in his place.

I've seen Lillard play and Burke is no Lillard.

That seems to be the case, but I'm willing to give Burke two years to develop. Burke will never shoot as well as Lillard--that is for sure! My gut says middle of the road caliber pg for Burke. There are just too many good pgs in the NBA.

I may be reading something that isn't there, but I get the feeling that Corbin just doesn't like Kanter and looks for any reason at all to stick him on the bench. My basis for this feeling is the way Corbin rides Kanter when he makes a mistake ... I rarely see him do that to any other player.

alec burks from 2011-2013 shakes his head and licks his lips in response to this...

I'm wondering if we could ever have this as the lineup:

Starting
Burke
Hayward
Rush
Favors
Kanter

Bench
Burks
Jefferson
Williams
Evans
Gobert or Beans

That's always been my slant. Maybe a top-15 PG. I would not be surprised down the road to see Burke used as trade bait. Can't keep and pay all our players. Maybe offload Burke and a couple of firsts for a veteran PG if/when the Jazz are among the WC elite. Or who knows...perhaps Harrison falls to us in the darft.

I hope so. I really like those line ups. Maybe lucas as an energy guy.
