Jazz vs Blazers

Why is this game so much less fun than the first one? I don't think it's because we're losing - it's how we're losing. Or maybe it's just the radio and lack of stream.

We get it to single digits and Portland gets serious and starts hitting 3's.

A lot of TO's from some of our hopefuls

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't visualize the game at all from Locke's play-by-play.

So Burke shot 3-9 (+ one half-court heave). All things considered I'll take it...

Hope he starts getting to the line soon though

Well, Corbin knows that those line-ups do not work.
Evans should never start.
Burks is the 6th man.
Machado seems to suck.
Guards and small forwards have got to rebound. Hayward has always been a crappy rebounder for his size.
We need Rush. I like him as the starting sf.
I don't know who sucks more, Gobert or Beans.

I kind of hope some scrubs are cut after the game. It looks like Michael, McGuire, and Holiday are the ones that are showing the most promise to make the team.

I attribute it to the weird line-up. Evans was annihilated!

I don't think anyone thinks Trey will be as good as Lillard, if that's what you're inferring.

Lillard had two years on him. I'm not saying that Burke will ever be Lillard, but two years is a huge deal sometimes.

Back to reality!
But isn't this what we expected? Inconsistency from the starters and little contribution from the bench. Seriously, the Jazz might only win 6-10 road games this year. I still say Portland's team last season is the benchmark for what to expect. With a strong starting line-up and a weak bench, Portland was 22-19 at home and 11-30 on the road. I expect the Jazz to be under that total as the Blazers had an all-star caliber player (Aldridge), ROY (Lillard) and two proven, veteran starters (Batum, Matthews).

I expect the Jazz to play some good, competitive basketball at home and look lost at times on the road.

Lillard dominated his SL man. So not really a poignant point here
