Jefferson or Millsap for 5th pick and Garcia?

Chad Ford said this Analysis on his recent mock: Sacramento is another team that is seriously considering moving its pick if it can. GM Geoff Petrie is on the hot seat and the Kings are once again looking for a player who can come in and contribute immediately. If they can entice a team to give up a young veteran for the No. 5 pick, I think they do it. If they keep the pick, it's looking like they'll play it safe and grab Barnes. Drummond is in the mix too, but he's a much riskier proposition.

How about Millsap or Jefferson for the 5th pick and Garcia. Garcia has a relatively bad contract but landing the 5th pick would mean MKG or Barnes. A lottery pick for Al Jefferson would be a hard sell. Although given the way that Big Al has taken players like Favors aside and helped them with their game, it might be good for a player like Cousins who has all the talent in the world, but can't get his head right. A guy like Al could be a good influence on him or Millsap who is more attractive to the Kings.

A defensive pairing of Jefferson and Cousins would rival Lee and Biedrins as one of the worst in the NBA.

Holy ****. If we were able to dump Jefferson for Garcia and #5 where we could, crossing my fingers, get MKG, I'd pass out. And never, ever again would I want to hear how KOC sucks.

If Sacramento wants Jefferson when they already have Cousins I would be stupefied. I could possibly see them wanting Millsap.

Millsap+First Utah 2013 x Salmons+5... maybe

Yeah, I think the trade would need to look like this. Jazz take on the 3 years and $22m (3rd year is team option that we could decline) left owed to Salmons and also give up the higher of their 2013 draft picks (ours or GS's), maybe you can get top 6 protection on the pick or something on the outside chance we miss the playoffs and win the lottery.

I would pass out too if that happens. And I would never say anything bad about KOC ever again I would also praise you Wes and kiss your but til the end of time.

But... Since I am a lot smarter than you, and not gullable like you. I know there isnt a chance in hell KOC gets anywhere near the top ten. Let alone the first round.

KOC is too conservative to a major fault.

I would pass out if SAC did this for either Sap or Al.

In fact, Kings fans are probably already laughing at this right now.

So you're saying if KOC manages to pull off a trade that nets us a 1st rounder, you'll kiss my ***?

I was thinking about this: Al and Watson to HOU, Martin and GST's pick to IND and Granger to the Jazz. Then figure out how to deal Millsap for Lillard.

Ill kiss your *** for a top ten pick. Ill write a 4 page letter stating how cool you are for a top 15. 2 pages top 20. 1 page first round.

That right there is incentive to not make any trades. I do not want your STD riddled lips anywhere near my body.

this is a no-brainer. If we can unload Jefferson, his inefficient offense, terrible P&R defense, and albatross contract for a bag of chips you do it.

Unfortunately, not even the Kings managed by Isiah Thomas would be dumb enough to trade their pick for Jefferson.

I thought this too, but then I remembered how they had the #7 pick last year and traded back to #10 in order to draft Jimmer and pick up Salmons again. They could have drafted Biyombo or Knight.

I think the Kings would probably try for a blockbuster, like Iguodala or Gay for a pick swap and Tyreke Evans. If they can't pull that off, they might do a deal with the Jazz. My feeling though is that they'd want Millsap plus Hayward, and want us to take back something along with their pick. Al Jefferson would just get in the way of Cousins, so I think they'd want Millsap and another player.
