What's new

KD to GSW... I hate those guys

Wow You would maybe put 4 other players above Jordan?
I might put Chamberlain but hard to put any one else right now

He didn't say 5th. He said top 5... which could actually be 1st.

Personally, I could make a damn fine argument for Stockton as GOAT.

If he said he's top 5 sounds like there could be 4 above him

If he said he not goat then there is at least one above him
If you read what he has been saying he says that there is no goat. There are many great players that are impossible to rank

He was great. Top 5. Incredible player. Just not goat. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Yep, nothing wrong with having a wrong opinion. It happens to the best of us.

What Reggie Miller says here nearly brought tears to my eyes...

Yes he will. Any great player will have a legacy.

He won't be a legend anywhere. Curry will. Wade will. LBJ will (maybe 2 places), Stock and Malone are, Reggie is, Ewing is, Dirk will be, Pierce will be, Kobe was, etc.

I'm pretty sure KD will still be a legend.

I think LoPo's (good) point was, where will KD be a legend of?

Miami was always gonna be Wade's town... so when LeBron left Cleveland, he had to come back to win it to receive widespread recognition there right now.

I guess if KD wins 2-3 rings with GSW, they might accept him as their own, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Not in OKC. Maybe in GS but he would have been the man in Oklahoma forever

I think he will be a legend to mature adults.

When Duarnt and the Warriors start winning championships, Durant will have been a big reason for that. In fact, Id be willing to bet he wins a couple finals MVP's. I'll remeber how good he was before Golden State. I'll know that he is still one of the best I have seen play. I will also remember that he did the smart thing and decided that it was a pretty darn good idea to make two of the best shooters ever his teamates.

Durant made a savy basketball move. Golden State was the perfect place at the perfect time.

When Golden State starts playing, soon people will forget how lame they were for judging him and start seeing how great of a decision it was to join. As a basketball fan it will be fun to watch. It will be must see TV. Im glad he did it.

It will take some time, but OKC will get over it and appreciate what he did for their franchise.

I guess people who don't like the move hold on to sentimental notion of a guy playing in a team for the entirety of his career... but if you think about it, Durant was actually drafted by the Seattle Supersonics.. OKC simply got him when Clay Bennett cheated Seattle out of their team...

So it wasn't like Durant back stabbed the people who drafted him... cos OKC didn't actually draft him to start with!!!!!

Clay Bennett and his people got rich off of the back of Durant and Westbrook, and now they'll have nothing.

Just like how Bennett left Seattle fans with..... 'nothing'.

How fitting.

They will appreciate him, but he will never have the respect Stockton or Malone have here and they just went to one more Finals. Or be treated the same as Reggie in Indy. He has lost that opportunity to be a local hero.
