Nash has interest in Utah?

Steve Nash would seem more likely as a Jazzman next year than Deron Williams. A good fit team-wise, and Harris could then back up both PG and SG positions, and he and Nash together offensively could be special.... As for the finances, I'm not even gonna get into that...
Thinkin' a lineup of Favors/Millsap/Hayward/Nash/Harris would fast break any opponent ragged! Then bring Jefferson/Kanter/Burks off the bench to pound it into the paint...

Ah yes, If I would've just made it to post #14 in this thread I would've known that. Well, that's more dicey then. candrew's line of thinking seems about right in that scenario.

3 things: 1) Nash has been an Iron Man. His points are off, but his PER isn't, and nothing about him ever changes. 2) With Nash on board, we'll have a MUCH easier time luring FA's in 13. 3) There really aren't any elite PG's the next 2 offseasons that are realistically attainable in FA.

Give him whatever he wants.

Hopefully his first demand is to get rid of flow-killing Jefferblow. Hopefully we say "Yes, sir."

So post 31 then, eh? :)

I dont know about all this bringing in an old *** dude. I know its Nash, but who is to say we get all three years out of him. That worries me. So I wouldn't want to pay him a whole lot. It could hamstring us for a while. And who is to say he will be as good in Corbin's system? Its not going to be the same as the one in phoenix. Plus he is old and frail.

Bring him in for cheap, just dont over pay.

Id rather hang my hopes on landing Harden and he be the one to push us over the top, rather than Nash.

This is why Billy is smarter than the rest of us. Solid man, solid.

Besides the "give him whatever he wants" part. Also consider he has been playing in Phoenix, who are considered to have the best and most advanced training staff in the NBA. Also consider he is 38 going on 39, his body could break down at anytime. If we sign him, we are probably going to get 1 more good year out of Nash, and 2 years of him being a back-up. I like him and want him, but you have to be reasonable in how much money you offer him.

I would violently **** my drawz if Nash signed with Utah

BTW, the Jazz have about $40 million in cap space in 2013 (that's two entire max slots and roughly $10 million left, still). Signing Nash for a little more than he might be worth might not only be harmless, it might be necessary since team's have to spend 90% of the cap. I'd rather overpay for Nash than potentially overpay for a worse fit, worse bet, or pay the union the difference.

If the Jazz sign Nash for an annual $10 million a year and stay the 2013 course otherwise, the Jazz could conceivably still sign two max free agents. And Nash himself is probably an attraction.

Steve and I are long-time friends. Steve says he'd love to be a part of the Utah Jazz organization. He feels that this team is a serious contender out west.

I'm very skeptical of most of that, but I'd love to be wrong.

I totally believe this, because I am friends with Phoenix and they said that they know who you are, and you are a bad influence on Steve. They say you smoke crack with him. Thats why his face is ****ed up.
