Never Trump

After all of the piggish things Trump has said, I'm terrible for calling out those who have any support for him? He's a dangerous pig and there's no way around that.

Yes.
Who the **** are you to call every Trump supporter an idiot? Obviously that's not true. You could say you question their judgement, fine. But when you say they are all idiots, you become the bigger idiot. Maybe you don't get out much. Maybe you don't have any smart/influential friends that are Trump supporters and your paradigm is what it is. But your premise is patently false and lacks any logical reason.

And I'm not sure why I even responded because it was that bad.

Yes, every Trump supporter is an idiot. There is no possible conclusion other than that. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

Are you against all taxes? Or just how taxes are spent?

I know someone who was a tax rebel years ago, who went to jail for it on the point of law that the amendment allowing income taxation federally was never ratified constitutionally, and that the President who signed on it realized later that he was lied to, and such and so forth. He did his time.

Later in life he became involved in mining and now complains about all the paper work he's required to fill out in the business of extracting his fortune from federally managed land, and complains about the Forest Service and BLM bureaucrats harassing him from pillar to post, but nowadays he pays his taxes and obeys regulations and even building codes. He had a wife who lived in an actual log cabin with him for years out in the middle of nowhere, next door to me..... where "next door" embraces the concept than anyone within 80 miles is your neighbor, that is.

He built a mansion out there, with his own two hands and a backhoe. His wife and ten kids moved in, and got fancy notions about life. She got tired of his grousing and left, divorced him, and lives in town now and can be found online doing some kind of meditation, mentoring, and life coaching to teach silly city women how to realize their potential. But bottom line, she did raise 10 children in a one-bedroom log cabin.

The kids are really nice.

I might come in Jazzfanz to beard the liberal lions, but I treat people right in real life, and do not give police or IRS agents a hard time for doing their jobs.

Taxes are a social disease and a form of dope. Taxes breed a society of dependence and a culture of do-gooder authoritarians who really are incompetent in everything they do.

I consider overblown government a sort of outlaw gang that doesn't have to hide from the law because they know how to pervert it. When they come around I offer them supper, and a little something for themselves, just like Trump has done all his life.

babe Thanks.

Some agreement and disagreement with what you said.

Taxes have their place and the "social disease" comment is over blown rhetoric IMO.

I will agree on the overblown gov. part.

Do you start your day with drugs?

As I said, anyone who supports this pig is an idiot. You can't hide from it or excuse it.

I’m calling out Trump for neither of those two things. That’s your false dichotomy. Fact is, all we know is NBC donated $.5 million to the Trump Foundation. Whether "he got NBC to shell out” the money is supposition worded to favor Trump’s deal-making prowess, which I’m not inclined to do. The second option is all supposition. Setting up a false dilemma as an introduction to an argument is poor form.

You can use big lawyer words to your heart's content, but boiled down that was essentially the argument you brought forth. You would have been better off playing it off as a Trump PR move (it was) rather than reversing course and claiming you are utterly unwilling to tangentially admit in any form to Donald Trump's deal making prowess.

He got .5 donated to charity. Deal with it.

The point is you set up a loaded either/or choice. It’s a logically fallacious and purposefully misleading method of reasoning. That’s what i meant by bad form. I admit I don’t respond well to this level of argument.

By the way, to clarify, Trump did not get NBC to donate to charity. NBC chose, for reasons of their own, to give to the Trump Foundation. Giving to the foundation is not necessarily giving to charity. The distinction is important because it’s at the crux of the post to which you were responding. The Trump Foundation is under fire because it has been used by Trump as his own personal slush fund.

To recap: Trump has not donated to his foundation since 2009, it’s all what he calls OPM, other people’s money. Since that time, Trump has used the foundation to pay off personal debt ($250,000 and counting), buy expensive gifts and outlandish portraits of himself, and send a $25,000 pay-to-play campaign donation to Pam Bondi, Florida’s Attorney General. On occasions when foundation money was used for charity, Trump took the opportunity to boast that the donation was “from my own pocket” which was, at best, a deflection.

No, people have a right to say anything, even Hillary. The ad puts stuff from all kinds of contexts across many years. Hillary has an even worse history of abusive behavior, such as bragging about getting a rapist acquited. She has said worse in every respect, I'm sure.

Most people will vote for the person with a vision of government they want.

Your own language is very abusive towards people you differ with.

I get that it that there are some things you consider important, but for anyone who wants to be credible, understanding and respect will look better to others.

Link with quote, please. While it is true that she once defended a rapist, much of what has been reported about it has been taken out context, twisted and flat-out lied about.

Hillary is more or less a typical politician, in that she isn't exactly honest. Such a shame that she couldn't follow the fine examples of all the Presidents before her who never lied about anything.<rolls eyes>

Trump on the other hand, is more than dishonest. He's a despicable racist pig, and that's me being nice.

Cheers!

I will never respect anyone who supports Trump. This is not about politics.

"Mostly false". She did represent him. Appointed, not volunteered. She didn't free him. She got a plea deal. She didn't say that the girl fantasiesd about older men and she did laugh about aspects of he case years later but did not laugh about freeing him and did not "know" he was guilty.
