What's new

October 17th - UTAH JAZZ vs. Los Angeles Clippers (8:30pm MST)

I dunno, he seemed able alongside his 3pt range when I was checking his clips around.

From what I've looked into, he's a good passer as a SG. Seeing him in the preseason, he's quite willing to pass on drives to the basket. With PG duties, however, he is terrible. Can't pass to the big in the pick and roll unless the pass is obvious. Not really a good passer at the top of the key. Jazz are playing Foye at the point, at least this is my hope, because frankly, who else is going to do it right now with one PG able to play?

Yeah you see that's my problem. Without a decent PG with PG skills, this team ain't goin' too far on the shoulders of their bigs. I thought they signed Foye for advance in outside shooting and pass-first, but he does not look ready for the second one.

This puts the Jazz in a bad spot.

Would signing Moe past this year be desirable? Should Moe be a backup? He's certainly good enough to be a starter in this league, but if you have a good backup, the 28/20 minute split just doesn't seem like a good position to be in. Don't really want a rookie PG, since it'll take him too long to get ready. No top level PG available outside of Paul, and that's not going to happen. Jazz might have to trade a dollar fifty for a dollar of a point guard.

Tough spot to be in.

I'm sure you said it well, but I didn't get it. Do you have a proposed solution?

Millsap 1/5 from the FT line. I remember him shooting really poorly from the line towards the end of the season/playoffs. What the ****?

Don't think I can propose a solution as eloquently as the post above what you quoted, even if I don't agree with it.

Basically, I'm saying the Jazz aren't in a good spot when it comes to PG for after this season (and even this season if Moe misses more than a handful of games), and there's not much they can do about unless they overspend for a guy.

I'm sad about not getting Lillard. :(

Slightly off topic, have I been misspelling Moe's name? Is there an 'e' at the end of it?

EDIT: Looks like I have been. *sigh*

Is anyone hearing this stupid clippers commentator? He's mentioned that Hayward missed the final shot against duke 2 times. His partner said, "it was a half court shot..." and he responds by saying, "but it was a good look."

I watched on Root Sports because I like the Jazz broadcasters. The guy sounds like a tool though.

Holy ****.

edit* Evans. My god.

Holly **** that play by Evans was ................wow

Ohhh h****tttttt

Wowwwwww.

Oh my god! Jeremy evans just blew my ****ing mind!

Jeremy Evans you are RIDICULOUS!!

Holy f**** I just came everywhere.

My wife can't even get me that excited.

lmao at the clippers announcer:

"I think he could've blocked that with his elbow"

Did you guys see Evans block and dunk?

Awesome reactions all. I wasn't watching the game live myself. After that play I told my wife to drop what she was doing (homework) for a minute and come watch it. She was impressed, and my wife doesn't get impressed by basketball very often.

logical fallacy. Please try again.

If players are too tired to respond playing 26 minutes in a preseason game, then there is something wrong. Leaving them out there tells them something is wrong.

And corbin has never left the entire starting lineup in a game for an entire third quarter. Try to find when he did that in a regular season game.

Edit: Also, if you want, to lessen the odd percentage that i go "look[ing] to attack other jazz fans," i can go around and spam the board with iawtp posts all over.
