Damn, our team is looking strong. Rebounding is insane and our offense is looking fluid.
When Marvin Williams breaks out this year, who is going to take more blame? Joe Johnson or the Atlanta Hawks?
A little late with this, but it might be worthwhile to watch the replay of this play (it's in the NBA.com highlights for the game). Both Mo and Gordo were closer to the basket than Millsap. Millsap picked up Turiaf, likely assuming that one of Gordo/Mo would pick up Barnes (while the other picked up the ball handler). Unfortunately, Mo was late communicating to Gordon (who was closer to the ball handler), and neither picked up Barnes. You ended up with Barnes running past Millsap, Mo picking up Paul, and Gordo guarding no one. Not a play you can really pin on Millsap.I watched Matt Barns run right by Millsap tonight for an easy layup in transition defense.
Dude plays hard. In the regular season, that advantage will be less pronounced, as starters will be playing harder, but there should be minutes for a dude who runs and defends as well as Carroll (he's also making some shots under duress late in the shot clock). Also, Carroll doesn't get enough love. He looks a lot better offensively so far. Even if he is only a 10-15 minute backup, I think he is going to be awesome this year.
