OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

Trade rumors are flying!

But he doesn't share any!!!

We'll need a third team to come in and add something (unless we want to give up kanter/favors/hayward on top of burks) so I added the bucks. Gave them Jefferson's expiring in return for monta's ****ty contract, so that they are willing to add Tobias Harris.

I like it.
Minnesota gets Burks + Tobias '1 minute a night' Harris and we get Steve Nash and Pistol Pete's baby.

Chris Sheridan is reporting what the local Timberwolves reporter was talking about after Fredman's visit to the MIN/NOH game, that the Jazz were discussing Burks for Ridnour. I know Sherdian isn't incredibly reliable, but he's now the 2nd person to report this. It's unfathomable to think that an Earl Watson injury may have saved the front office from shooting themselves in the foot and infuriating the fan base. UNBELIEVABLE if true.

Also, Sherdian reports that the Jazz could still land Ridnour, but Burks is off the table now. He also reports that Will Bynum is the most likely player in the league to get dealt before the trade deadline. I can only hope that the Jazz aren't foolish enough to choose Ridnour over Bynum. Bynum does everything better than Ridnour except shoot the ball and we won't have to give up as much to acquire him.

If the jazz trade Burks for Ridnour or Bynum I will burn this website down.

Burks is off the table now.

I don't mind trading any of the young guns if it gets us back some stud in return. Selling Burks now would be selling low,
and would be a huge mistake. I would have been furious if we traded him for Luke the force is not with me Ridnour

Why are ppl overreacting. What if it was Burks and Ridnour and 10 Timberwolves unprotected picks? Of course that's stupid. But my point is that we DON'T KNOW what was being discussed IF ANYTHING was being discussed.

It takes reporters a couple of hours to figure out all the specs of a trade AFTER it happened, so don't be surprised if the reporters throwing out details that are incomplete or even inaccurate especially since it has been said that GM's around the league seem to point the finger at Kahn for leaking stuff to work public opinion.

Oh and btw OKC had to get rid of James Harden (3rd pick) and Jeff Green (5th pick) to produce a team whose salaries matched up with a sustainable core.

I think KOC was trying to get Rubio from T-Wolves for Burks, Foye, Marvin, Tinsley, Watson, Carrolle, Jefferson, and Milsap. The salaries didn't work out.

If I'm Brooklyn, I try to pick up Millsap and go after Dwight this summer.

If I'm the Spurs or Pacers, I try to pick up Jefferson for this year's playoff run.

How do they go after Dwight? Mid-level exception?

Jefferson to the Spurs?

"San Antonio is making overtures to the Utah Jazz for low-post specialist Al Jefferson, according to SheridanHoops.com.

The Spurs could offer a package of center Tiago Splitter, Patrick Mills, Stephen Jackson, and the draft rights to European big man Erazem Lorbeck, the report also states. Teams have until Feb. 21 to complete trades."

Oh, please - let it be!

Splitter would be a good pick-up for us. The rest is just filler.

I would love to get Splitter - imagine having Kanter, Favors and Splitter. Mills would be a nice backup - he can hit the three and he plays defense. He's not a bad scorer either.

Can Jackson still play defense? I know his offense has dropped off....

Looks like this is late, but here is the Tweet:

Re: Sheridan's Ridnour report - told Utah has given some sort of assurance to A. Burks that he's not going anywhere, at least not for Luke.

Is Burks now a sell high contestant? Maybe instead of Lidnour they can trade him for some real talent like Aaron Brooks. (Sarcasm warning)
