First, this is for those of you who thought we should just let Hayward go and sign Parsons. This was a naive wish from the start. IF you think Parsons is as good or better than Hayward, then why would you think he'd come at a substantially lower price than Hayward?
It also demonstrates the state of the market. In other words, if you want even second tier talent in the current FA market, you're gonna have to pay for it--a lot.
It also raises the question: Just who we going to get for Hayward that is as good as him (or close to it) but who costs substantially less?
Jazz are going to match.

Naive would be thinking every GM thinks every free agent is worth the same. Go eat some pizza.
DAL has put together a solid team.
Felton - Ellis - Parsons - Dirk - TChandler
coach: Rick Carlisle (a top 3 imo)
add some depth and this team could make some noise postseason

Dallas hasn't put together that team yet.
According to reports, Mavs have NOT submitted the offer sheet to the league.
Sounds like an agreement with the Rockets. Why the teams would cooperate, I don't know. But Houston is waiting on Bosh, who is waiting on Lebron. If LBJ goes to Cleveland, Bosh will sign with Houston. However, in order to get both, Houston would need to sign Bosh and THEN sign Parsons. If Dallas really wanted to muck things up for Houston, they should get the offer signed and delivered NOW. Lebron seems to enjoy stringing people along...he's taken off to see the World Cup final instead of making a choice. So Houston would have to pressure Bosh to jump ship before James makes a decision or not match on Parsons.
If Hayward is a classic car, he is the one that everyone forgot about.

Not that I care but just wanted to point out that LBJ is in Vegas doing his summer camp with college players.
