Would Millsap accept being the starting 3? He wouldn't accept a backup role and I don't think we'd pay him a lot to be one. I don't think he'll be back.
With Jefferson it's weird. You know Corbin would start him over Kanter and if the FO talked to Ty about having Enes be the starting C would Jefferson accept that? I think he might. But if he did, would he also accept a salary cut knowing how much teams would give him to be their starting center?
I don't think either one are going to be back next year. That said I think we resign DeMarre, Randy, Jamaal, and Mo. I think Marvin decides to stay another season and I think we sign a capable backup center that has good defense; à la Samuel Dalembert. We get some rookies in, hopefully Golden State plummets just enough to get us in a good position to select Trey Burke. I don't think that will happen though. I think Golden State will fight for a playoff spot, maybe get the 7th or 8th seed or maybe they barely miss out, but either way I don't think we'll be in range for Burke. So we end up getting a PG in the second round in Nate Wolters (This guy is gonna be great. Trust me.) Mike Muscala (C good scorer, rebounder, shot blocker, decent defender) and Andre Roberson (SF great rebounder like Muscala, good defender too.)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us to get Burke but this is how I see next years roster;
Alec Burks
DeMarre Carroll
Samuel Dalembert
Jeremy Evans
Derrick Favors
Randy Foye
Gordon Hayward
Enes Kanter
Kevin Murphy
Mike Muscala
Andre Roberson
Jamaal Tinsley
Mo Williams
Marvin Williams
Nate Wolters
With that roster it's probably around 45-50 mil.
Lineup:
Mo, Tinsley, Wolters
Burks, Foye, Murphy
Hayward, Carroll, Roberson
Favors, Marvin, Evans
Kanter, Dalembert, Muscala
