I have never seen a center as effective as Rudy played for the Jazz before. He already is there. Just needs to widen the scale a few seasons more.
After this game tonight,we need a new countdown thread : "Rudy Gobert, Greatest Center of all Time"
The thing that endears me to Rudy so much is the difference between this year and last year when it comes to catching the ball in the low post. Last years he was butterfingers. This year, he's almond joy!
35 points in a game, how many of us would have imagined that? Mark Eaton's career high was 20 and that was while playing with John Stockton
Imagine Rudy on the jazz nba finals teams...oh that would have been sweet
Brent Barry said last night that Rudy is his choice for DPOY.
Gobert can turn even the most errant lob into a rim-rattling dunk, but it wasn’t always like that. He worked tirelessly with Jensen to solidify his hands so that he could become a force down low. “The two things he doesn’t have in his game are shooting from the outside and playing [with his] back to the basket, as far as post-ups and post-up moves and being consistent in that regard,” fellow Jazz Frenchman Boris Diaw says. The Jazz front office and coaching staff’s goal is to turn Gobert into the type of player who consistently commands double-teams to free up room for perimeter shooters like Johnson and Hayward. – via Bleacher Report 4/26/17
He had 5 steals last night. If he could add steals to his defensive game...
