What's new

Where is that pit bull thread when I need it?

Actually, it's neither. It just so happens that he's one of those guys who is NEVER wrong, so it's fun (for the first little bit) to argue with him. That **** gets old in a hurry though.

Truth

Try the definition you yourself cut and pasted in post 127 moran.

1. any instrument or device for use in attack or defense in combat, fighting, or war, as a sword, rifle, or cannon.
2. anything used against an opponent, adversary, or victim: the deadly weapon of satire.
3. Zoology. any part or organ serving for attack or defense, as claws, horns, teeth, or stings.

It's not an "instrument or device." It's that simple. Stop grasping at straws. You're being ridiculous. Just admit when you're wrong. As a fellow white person, I find you embarrassing.

Should I even respond to this idiotic post?

Take a look at #3.

How are the ears used to attack or defend you ****ing moron?
https://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/dog-fighting/dog-fighting-faq.aspx

"Q. Why Do Fighting Dogs Have Their Ears Cropped and Tails Docked?

Fighting dogs used by all types of fighters may have their ears cropped and tails docked close to their bodies. This serves two purposes. First, it limits the areas of the body that another dog can grab onto in a fight, and second, it makes it more difficult for other dogs to read the animal's mood and intentions through the normal body language cues dogs use in aggressive encounters.

Fighters usually perform this cropping/docking themselves using crude and inhumane techniques. This can lead to additional criminal charges related to animal cruelty and/or the illegal practice of veterinary medicine."

maybe I have this all wrong, but in Salty's world, the cropped ears provide an advantage over non-cropped ears, so in that sense they are more "useful" than non-cropped ears. To Salty, having this advantage is sort of equivalent to having a weapon I guess, because a weapon is an advantage. So as he sees it, since a weapon is an advantage, then an advantage is a weapon. Or something like that. Not that I would agree with that point of view or anything....

Great dummy. This does not make the ears themselves an "instrument or device for use in attack or defense." It is not an instrument, and it not "used" for attack or defense. Regarding defintiion number two, it is not something used against an adversary, and in response to definition four (which is very similar to number one), is not used for attack or defense.

So then you agree it fits the definition of #3, cool.

First of all I have cropped ears, just so you know.

I have also been arrested for wearing a beanie.
At the time I did not have a concealed weapons permit.
Strangely enough, I could go bareheaded and it was not against the law.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.
I just love this rep business I run in my basement in the middle of the night. It has all the allure of counterfeiting, and some people even like it. And the government hasn't thought of passing a law against it. . . . . yet.

And, strangely enough, it doesn't really cheapen the value of all the rep currency others print. . . .

So if I stand in front of a punch I did not use a weapon, but if I move out of the way of the punch I have employed the weapon of evasion. If I am still while being shot at I have no weapon, but if I move to make myself harder to hit I am using the weapon of motion. If I'm in a building that is hit by a missile I have no weapon, if I'm across the street buying a Reader's Digest at the gas station I am using the weapon of shopping for a Reader's Digest.

I don't get why you guys give Salty a hard time. He is clearly making a lot of sense.

A dog having its ears cut off is addition by subtraction. Now that the ears are gone, they are a weapon.

There are obviously plenty of idiots who claim to crop dogs' ears for looks, and disregard the original purpose for cropping ears.

It doesn't change the reason cropped ears were invented, or the fact that they are still called "battle crop" in a lot of instances.

Like I said, a gun is still a gun, even if you claim to only buy it for looks.
